Every medical professional I met at the QCH told me how lucky I was to have Dr. Gay as my surgeon, he is very personable, kind and compassionate. He addressed all my concerns, answered all my questions, and even my anesthesiologist Dr A. McDonald was very professional, compassionate and knowledgable. It’s true what they say we are so lucky to have these amazing medical professionals in Ottawa.

In 2013 I had to get a mastectomy. This was a jaring experience for me and my husband. But Dr.Gay basically held my hand (not literally but emotionally) through every appointment and every test he explained findings and options clearly. He let you make decisions about your own health but made sure you were well informed and felt comfortable with your decision. He is compassionate and so present with whoever he is with. And as soon as you mention his name at the QC hospital any one who knows him will smile and tell you how lucky you are to have him as a doctor. He is a God sent. This man is a super hero ! Removed my appendix a few years ago with no scars and no issues whatsoever. Very compassionate and takes his time explaining everything.
