Have been a patient of Dr Pirkle for over 10 years! Thank goodness for truthful and honest treatment! Dr Pirkle has always treated me with sincerity and clarity.
Glad I’m older so I will never have to change.

Dr. Pirkle is a MONSTER! Avoid this man at all cost. He has a bit of a Napoleon Complex. He yells at his patients and staff all the time. Throws temper tantrums daily. He is DEFINATELY a tyrant who should never be allowed to practice medicine. The way he treats his staff makes me wonder if he is abusing his wife and children too. He is truly a beast.

He is very rude to his staff and patients. He has that holier than thou attitude. Very poor bedside manner. I would never recommend this tyrant.

VERY smart medically. VERY poor at running a practice. Office staff rude, unhelpful, lazy. Dr. NEVER returns calls until I call several times over several days and then takes 3 weeks to call back and says it's not his fault it took him 3 weeks. Book you over a year in advance for a physical and then if you have to change your appointment because even if it is 6 months out and you find out that you can't make that date...you just have to get back in line and wait over another year. POOR office management!

After my PCP retired, I went to Dr. Pirkle for the first time 6 years ago. This visit was for my annual checkup and I had no symptoms. During the the checkup Dr. Pirkle diagnosed a leaking aortic valve and referred me to a cardiologist. The cardiologist gave me an Angiogram and confirmed that my aortic valve was leaking 80% plus I had major blockage in several arteries to my heart. I underwent successful open heart surgery for a aortic valve replacement and multiple bypass. Dr. Pirkle saved my life as I could have had heart failure at any time and died if there was no defibrillator close at hand. He continues to monitor me carefully each year as he feels responsible for my entire health, including my heart disease.

Very uncaring and mean to patients. Yells at patients. Has no bedside manner. Senior citizens are afraid of him. He makes them feel bad when they are trying to make strides in their health. If you call the answering service they are mean and don't let you talk to the doctor. Personal experience.
