I met Dr. Lamoureux at the clinic at the George Dumont when I was 36 weeks pregnant. I had seen several doctors over the course of my pregnancy but Lamoureux was extraordinary. I had seen a Dr at the clinic that was going to try an do a version to flip baby however, when I went in to do the version that Dr was away and had asked Lamoureux to see me ... Best thing that ever happened to me during my pregnancy. She took her time to introduce herself and explain the process of the version in great detail. We really appreciated her honesty, she explained the chances of it working and tried 3 times to flip him. The version wasn't successful and she was so understanding of my disappointment but explained why it didn't always work until I was comfortable with it. Baby was bum down at that point and she knew I wanted to try for a vaginal delivery if at all possible so she sent me for an ultrasound at 37.7 weeks to double check position and measurements to see if vaginal would be an option. She then asked to follow me throughout the remainder of my preganancy (which was amazing to have a Dr want to follow up) she had me go to the clinic right after my ultrasound so we could discuss the results and even had them call her in when I got there as she wasn't the Dr on duty at the clinic. She was there within 15 minutes and we reviewed the results. Baby was now foot first and already too big to deliver bum first anyway .... which meant a section for sure (they had previously given me a scheduled date for the section based on it being a possibility) i explained to her I didn't think I would make it to the planned date without going into labour as it was scheduled for 39.5 weeks and I had been feeling labour was close and that my first delivery was very fast. She decided to examin me and found I was 3 cm and she could feel the feet. She calmly explained that she thought we should do the section right away as she didn't want me to come back in active labour with the cord between my legs or any other potential complications. She took the time to make sure we understood why she felt we needed to do it then and made sure we were ok with it. She even let me go home for a few hours to pack my bags and whatnot. Before she did the section she checked if I was more dialated when putting the catheder in and I was 6cm and absolutely would have ended up in labour if she wouldn't have taken the time to listen to me, examin me, and do the section right away. I was beyond blessed to have her and can't say enough good things about her !!!!

For my second pregnancy, I decided to return to the George Dumont Hospital as our first experience was great ! as many of you know, the clinic you can see multiple Doctors in the run of 9 months. I went in for my dating ultrasound, and we saw Dr. Lamoureux , she was fantastic. She makes you feel at home, and I found she was very professional. She has a intern with her, and you could tell the intern was new and she was taking all the time in the world to show and explain to her the proper/different ways to see the baby. I found that was very nice of her because most of the time when you are in the hospital you feel more like a number then a patient. Overall experience was AMAZING! I hope to be able to get her again and possibly get my C-section with her!

Fantastic work Dr. Lamoureux!

Dr. Lamoureux seems to be a nice person. She is professional. She put my IUD in for me which was extremely painful but I was grateful to have it. Two years later my IUD ejected itself and Dr. Lamoureux wont see me. Im in a lot of pain and would just like to have a check up but cant get one without a referral (which takes more than six months). Staff of Dr. Lamoureux are not empathetic to my situation or apologetic (in fact they're quite rude). I have an appointment with Dr. Lamoureux for two years from now to have my IUD removed even though I no longer have an IUD. Staff still wont reschedule my appointment. Its frustrating being left to suffer and manage this situation on my own. I dont understand why I need another referral when I am already a patient of hers.

Dr. Lamoureux helped us when my wife was having twins with complications. She was very nice, empathic, and attentive. It was a pleasure working with her up through the c-section and everything worked out great.

Dr Lamoureux does have a little bit of an attitude...but she did helped me a lot with my problem. She listened and did her best to find answers. First time I saw her after years of chronic pain she said "You are not alone, we can help you" and that was music to my ears. Thank you Dr Lamoureux!
