I would leave 0 to her. She wanted to perform surgeries on my both eyes that were not needed. She also charged $260 for tests. Other doctors do not charge because it is covered by OHIP. Be aware!

Dr. Iizuka in extremely knowledgeable and kind. I had two strabismus surgeries with her (15 years from each other) and results were always excellent.

I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE EVERYONE FROM SEEING Dr. Iizuka!! I would give her a 0 rating if I could!! I have had her as my doctor for many years and she does not take emergencies seriously even when you see her at the hospital. When a patient has been having the same recurring chalazion covering both eyelids for 7 years and you do not care at all to come up with a treatment plan or to even treat the infection, that screams volumes on how you do your job. I have been suffering for so many years and she did not even try to treat my eyelid even at the hospital and not just once but multiple times. All she does is charge the patients OHIP card and ask them to come back multiple times to do absolutely nothing and send them back
home. I have lost so much time seeing this doctor with absolutely 0 results or help.

I had very good experience with se Lizuka. My daughter's pediatrician scheduled appointment for her. Within few days her secretary called to reschedule an appointment. I couldn't pick up the phone and she left message. I called her back. She answered immediately. Doctor is very knowledgeable, kind, and excellent with children.

Dr. Iizuka is good. She is knowledgable, friendly, and knows her craft. I have no complaints about her.

However the reception is beyond appalling. I have never in my life experienced such horrifically bad service. It is impossible to reach reception, as they do not have call waiting. Be prepared to be calling multiple times a day for days in a row in order to get in touch. Pray you don't get a call to call in and reschedule.

Punctuality is poor. Be expected to be waiting long after your appointment time.

To summarize: Dr. Iizuka is good, but her reception should have been fired years ago as reception is reflecting poorly on her practice.

Before my first appointment with Dr. Iizuka, I had read some very negative comments and now I feel the need to post a comment. Contrary what has been posted here, my experience was completely positive. Dr. Iizuka was courteous and totally professional together with her obviou great knowledge and experience, I feel blessed to have her perform any surgery that I need.
Furthermore, her entire staff without exception was great. They were very supportive and I walked out of their office with a truly positive feeling.

We have been seeing Dr Iizuka since my daughter was 6mnths old. She is now 14 and still loves to see this doctor. She is kind, pleasant, helpful, and very busy.
I realize that she is busy but her staff does not need to be as rude as they are to the public. We are not the ones double booking the doctor. 5 stars for the doctor herself. Thank you Dr Iizuka!

The only comment i have is that during covid the awaiting room was too full Doctor Lizuka is excellent as her care I appreciate that during covid things have been very difficult but waiting room should not have so many people . It is always a long wait but that is to be expected with the different tests that one needs to have during visit .More care should be given to ensure one is not in a small waiting room with too many people

I have read some of the comments and cannot agree with the negativity. My visit and interaction with both Dr. Iizuka and staff were positive and I am happy to be a patient in her office.
