Dr. Safieddine is a very kind, optimistic, realistic and compassionate doctor. He explained things thoroughly, and answered all my questions. I feel very fortunate to have had him operate on me.

To the writer of Oct./2021...I had consult with this Dr. earlier today, & found him to be rather challenging. It was as though what I was saying wasn't accurate. To tell a patient that acid reflux is not dangerous is the most
ridiculous thing I've heard. Reflux in & of itself may not be dangerous., but left untreated it most certainly can cause problems with the esophagus, which brings me to another point he argued. He said that the acid getting into the esophagus & causing damage is very rare. Say what!!??? Even if something IS rare, it can happen, & in my mind letting things go is only asking for problems. I told him that I stopped taking the pills & twice he asked my why, & both times my answer was...'because they don't work!?" I left the consult feeling angry, & as though my concerns were not valid. He also seemed to be emphasing the possible side effects of the surgery, of which I am very well aware.

Dr. Safieddine performed a highly complex lung surgery and saved my life. He is the best Thoracic Surgeon you can find in Toronto. He also did the less invasive VATS procedure followed by surgery. He was very kind and answered every question I had. My surgery took place in December 2021 during the Covid pandemic. The staff was able to get me scheduled due to the urgency. I am now being followed up every 6 months to monitor. Everyone at MGH was very friendly and professional.

Dr. Safieddine performed a less invasive VATS Lobectomy on my lung in April,2022. I found him to be friendly, very courteous, professional and knowledgeable. He explained thoroughly everything I needed to know prior to my surgery and after the surgery. He answered all my questions and was very attentive to my needs. His administrative assistant, Heidi, is also pleasant, very efficient and helpful. I found all the staff I dealt with to be caring, compassionate and helpful. Thank you Dr. Safieddine and all the MGH staff who made me feel comfortable and were attentive to my needs.

Dr. Safieddine performed my lung surgery on March 14th at MGH. Prior to the surgery he explained to me, a 76 year old man, in great details the procedures , the risks and the options in a very professional manner. The surgery was smooth. He and his team were extremely competent and helpful during my stay at MGH. So were the many nurses who took care of me. Contrary to the opinions of some other patients I do not find Dr. Safieddine cocky or confrontational. Rather, I find him amiable, helpful and very professional.
