Rachel and team 3 at the midwifery clinic are so caring, informed and skillful at what they do. She is known around the friend group to prevent tearing (might be a coincidence but none of us did!) and she never rushed you during appointments. During my labour, she was calm, reassuring and focused. I highly recommend Rachel and team 3

Rachel had recently joined my midwifery team and I am soooo happy to have had her there for my delivery and post partum care. I absolutely trust her completely and would recommend her to anyone. I had done IVF, was in labour for several days by choice as I really wanted a natural birth with little intervention. I had a few issues during pregnancy that deemed me "high risk" and she really eased my mind with her great knowledge and reassurance. In the end I had to have an emergency c-section due to having a very large 9.5 lbs baby with big head so had an OBGYN perform the surgery but Rachel was there for me upon arrival at hospital, she did my initial assessment, advocated for me when I insisted on sticking it out as long as I could and when it was time to weigh my options after only dilating to 3 cm after many days of labouring at home and many hours after being induced she gave me the perspective I needed to help me make my decisions as my birth plan had to change. I especially appreciated her post partum home visits and final care before being released back to my GP's care. She gave amazing advice for breast feeding, took the time to explain a lot of things and really cared about my well being. Rachel is fantastic, please ignore old criticisms from many years ago. Rachel is very knowledgable and helpful. I love her!

I feel so lucky to have had Rachel and her team as my midwives. The care I received was personalized, caring and very professional. The care I received during the post partum period was excellent and they really helped me with my journey into motherhood. I would recommend Rachel and her team to anyone looking for amazing midwifery care.

It is important to take comments on sites like this in stride, as many patients who have bad outcomes need someone to blame. I received excellent care from Rachel Rees, she attended my difficult home birth and was supportive, calm and professional.

I do not recommend Rachel Rees. She inaccurately reported preliminary prenatal results to me as “final”. It turned out that she made a mistake as my baby had a serious genetic defect that I did not find out about until later, and incidentally through a 3rd party...a genetic counselor that I had called because I just had a bad feeling, something didn't seem right. Together with the genetic counselor, we asked Rachel what happened, and she actually denied, lied and covered up, but her story didn't hold up. The whole experience was terribly traumatizing for me. I may still file a complaint with the College of Midwives. Just so you know, even if they were to find her "guilty" after conducting an investigation, the College doesn't actually tell you what the complaint was about, only that there are 'X' number of complaints of file about a particular midwife. Please take care when choosing your midwife, or better yet, go to a family doctor or ob-gyn.
