Biography
Dr. McClelland attended and graduated with honors from Princeton University. He earned a medical degree from the University of Virginia. He then completed five years of post-graduate training in both general surgery and otolaryngology at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. Dr. McClelland and his wife moved down to the Charlotte NC area to begin a new practice focusing more on quality of care, patient experience and clear communications with referring doctors and patients. He continues to enjoy seeing patients. Clinical expertise and an unwavering commitment to each patient – these are the principles with which Dr. McClelland founded CornerStone Ear, Nose & Throat, and they have been embodied in the growth and success of the practice since its inception in 1994. They have been reiterated more recently in the Mission Statement. Dr. McClelland regards the doctor-patient relationship as a partnership with the common goal of improving each patient’s health and well-being. He believes communication is vital, and properly addressing the patient’s concerns and expectations is important to him.
Education
- University Of Virginia School Of Medicine (Grad. 1989)
- Princeton University (Grad. 1985)
Prior to finding Dr. McClelland and his practice I had been dealing with a chronic sinus and throat issue for more than three months. I had been to three other practices along with an emergency room visit that all yielded negative results and misdiagnosis. After the first visit at cornerstone Dr. McClellan had me on a treatment plan that made a difference within days. Which eventually led to a full recovery, and a higher degree of understanding on how to manage my condition, I would highly recommend his practice to anyone in need of his area of expertise. A big thank you to him as a caregiver for his ability to diagnose, treat, and explain the process. A truly phenomenal experience.
