What a sorry excuse for a doctor. Absolutely no empathy or bedside manner. Talks down to patients. Told us that “stress has absolutely nothing to do with heart attacks or strokes”. When I asked him what he said he emphatically repeated that statement several times. He should not be practicing medicine and definitely not neurology.

He wasn't impressive. He was arrogant and obnoxious, but he did refer me to the best surgeon for the operation that I needed. For that, I am thankful; however, I see myself finding a new neurologist.

Dr. Washburn might be a bit brusque, but I don't need a doctor to hold my hand. He listens to me, ordered the appropriate scans, found the right meds and dosage to treat my trigeminal neuralgia. And continues with periodic appts to monitor. Moved offices and his staff is always helpful and I'm usually seen with just a short wait time.

This man should not be allowed to practice medicine. He lacks in all empathy and compassion. He’s ego is such that he refuses and resents referrals to other physicians, much less other hospital systems. His narrow minded neuro practice solely relies on one clinical expertise of migraines, although, he states having knowledge of all neurological disorders. He’s self-righteous attitude towards his patients is horrific...insinuations of pharmacological dependencies by his patients, when there is no evidence to support. I’ve heard him refer to his patients comparing them to Hollywood starlets. Recently, heard of him “withholding refills on prescription medication because of his office moving, transfer of tax ID number, and records being transferred to his new office.” He should be reported to the board of medicine, as well as insurance providers. He is a detriment to the health profession. Shame on him!

Very dismissive and makes you feel like you are ignorant about your own disease that you have researched. Even when other doctors tell you something, he dismisses their opinions also.

Absolutely no empathy. He doesn't seem to care if you've severe reactions to a drug he prescribed nor does he seem interested in suggesting a different drug to treat you with. Non-communicative. Not an ounce of good bedside manner. I have never disliked a doctor, but I have to say, I just don't him.

I spent too long as a patient of Dr. Washburn. He doesn't listen to his patients or care if they are not feeling well. Find someone else.
