In 2012 Neil Cochrane changed my life. I had been in constant pain for 3 years as a Schwannoma tumour was growing in my spinal canal in my neck. Neil was onto it straight away, performing surgery explaining everything I needed to know. I have only minor side affects and have been pain free since. Thoroughly recommend.

I’ve read the comments and I can only speak of my own experience with Dr Neil. I met met him as a work compensation surgeon. He was fabulous, polite, knowledgeable and a wonderful bedside manner. I don’t mind giving my name and recommendations. Sandy Bray.

Dr Cochrane was recommended by a person working in the health profession. He was confident but looking back there was something always a bit off about him.
What I can say now is that his work was sub-standard and the operation was unsuccessful. I was left with the requirement of many specialist visits and major surgery to rectify his work.
He also was not allowed to operate by himself and had to serve a period of 2 years operating under the supervision of a Senior Neurosurgeon (check previous reviews or with AHPRA to confirm).
Please make an informed choice, read all reviews and get multiple opinions when seeking a surgeon. Lacks knowledge, skill, integrity & honesty.

Dr Cochrane has preformed 8 of my 9 spinal surgeries. All resulted from a motor vehicle accident and degeneration.
Great surgeon. Explains everything and only operates when all other measures are exhausted. I’d highly recommend him. Thanks Neil.

Cochrane has left me in inexplicable pain after surgery, I no longer want to live with the pain after surgery, pieces of discs after fusions breaking in lumbar and finding there way to such as root of sciatic nerve leaving me unable to even take slightest steps. He's ruined my life which I've tried to take several times. Uninsured now I can't and won't trust anyone else to touch my spine.

I had two surgeries with Dr Neil one in lower back and one in neck. Both went very well, was out of the hospital next day after surgery with little pain, and now pain is totally gone now.
