Can't say anything bad about Dr. Lapointe. Had 2 complicated dental implants, and everything went as planned.

Seems to know what he is doing but chairside manners need work and so does his entire attitude. Treats people like they are inferior to him and acts like he is all knowing. Poor aftercare. There are plenty of oral surgeons who can do good work and treats patients like humans , so would not recommend this dr to my fam/friends.

This man deserves far more than a five star rating.....he does his utmost best to make sure that each client is taken care supremely. His talents are beyond words as he's somewhat of a maxio-artist improving the bite or jawline or repairs where teeth are missing altogether and most of all giving people of all ages back their hope of a better tomorrow and boosting their self esteem....his chair side manner is amazing. He changed my daughter's life and there are few words I can ever think of to thank him for all he's done. Thank You for all you do and for being the You in our lives.

Dr. Lapointe was a terrible doctor. I had a surgery and when I tried to call him because of pain he wouldn’t answer to my calls. He wasn’t there for me after the surgery... don’t ever go to him for jaw surgery because he will ignore you if you tell him you are in pain and just say there is nothing he can do.

He did a great job of jaw reconstruction, extractions and 6 implants with bone grafts. For the first time in 69 years I can actually bit and chew correctly thanks to Dr LaPointe and Dr Smith and Dr Storey who all worked together to give me a very positive outcome.

Very clear and to the point, and knows what he's doing. His secretary/contactperson however, is very hard to get in touch with (even during business hours) which leaves you with a lot of questions un-answered. This is unpleasant post-surgery, especially when there are complications

Awesome surgeon. I was really nervous going into my first consult, but I left with an appointment for double jaw surgery thanks to Dr. Lapointe and his team! Very accommodating and willing to answer every question I had. Explained the surgery right down to the fine details and showed me exactly what was wrong with my jaw- I had never had this explained to me before and it was huge in helping me understand the need for the surgery. Would recommend to anyone! Make the appointment!

I can't believe all the bad reviews on here! That said, my experience with Dr Lapointe was way back in 2002/2003. My review is based on my 2003 jaw surgery (LeForte I Sagittal Split & Genioplasty) and wisdom teeth removal. I was downright terrified about having jaw surgery, but after several appointments with Dr Lapointe, I knew I was in good hands. He was very patient and thorough explaining the procedure and risks involved. My parents (dad especially) had been very concerned as well, that is until they met with Dr Lapointe and could tell that he's very knowledgeable and caring. I had jaw surgery to correct a bad overbite + 4 wisdom teeth removed in March 2003 and it was flawless. Recovery wasn't fun, but that's surgery for you. Nothing went wrong and I'm beyond thankful to this day (I was 17 when I had surgery, now age 31) that I chose to have this surgery. It impacted my self-esteem and confidence in ways I can't begin to explain! I see a lot of bad reviews, so perhaps he isn't what he used to be. I would doubt that though! I have all good things to say about him, and his staff + the whole experience (before and after surgery). I wouldn't hesitate to see him again. Hopefully there is no more surgery in my future though. :)
