Dr. Elekiaby started the appt by asking what happened then interrupted & said no that didn't happen. He spent most of appt bad mouthing all other medical professionals in town, told pt they didn't have lung problems and were just a stressed & anxious woman & if they stopped being anxious the problems would go away. Ordered further testing to "prove there are no lung problems and you're just anxious". Patient immediately asked for referral to new lung specialist. Did test when appt came, new lung Dr got results and diagnosed patient with "severe uncontrolled asthma". This man is dismissive, rude, sexist, engages in medical gaslighting and appears to thoroughly enjoy gossiping and demeaning colleagues in all areas of medicine.

Had an appt with Dr Elekiaby today. I developed covid again, so early today the reception agreed to change it to a phone visit. 45 min after our call was scheduled, she called to say Dr Elekiaby thought it would ve better if I saw a respirologist in Abbotsford! He refused to talk w me!! This is after waiting for 6 months to see him!! Retire in hell!!!!! And receptionist, you are fabulous! He doesn't deserve you.

He has bad bedside manner. He was slightly rude and not willing to listen to my concerns. He told me if I suffer from anxiety (which I never have) then my lungs will tighten. Either than that he had no reason as to why I'm using my puffers more. He made it clear I was wasting his time because he had people with bigger lung problems and mine was minor. I have been suffering from this since my early teens, (now in my mid 40s) he was not willing to dig deeper into helping me. I have now been referred to another specialist and very happy to take it.

Dr. Elekiaby is a very caring and professional man. He took my health issue seriously and referred me to another specialist for a second opinion. I have total confidence in him as my doctor. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

Office staff unorganized with communication with other doctors and was caught lying about this. When confronted the staff couldnt admit their part and asked doctor to contact patient. When the Doctor called he was more concerned with trying to place the blame on the patient. He did not even ask for the patients side of the matter. I would NOT recommend this doctor as he seems more interested in protecting his staff instead of managing them and being helpfull to the patient.

He's a very patient Doctor and takes the time to make sure you understand exactly what he is trying to tell you. No question that you have about your condition, goes unanswered either. I'm very glad he's my Doctor.
