Useless going to this doctor. He dismisses my cough and skin issues by just saying it is what it is. He is not able to refer the correct specialists and prescribed a medication for me that was not related or relevant to the issue I was having.

More people needs to report this unethical, academic and professional failure. Grew up with this guy and had to go through hell to find another family doctor because of shortage. This money-grubbing arrogant prick will abuse you emotionally, tell you you're fat, use outdated knowledge, make you wait for almost an hour every visit, diagnose you wrong and give wrong medications, neglect you until your condition is too late to treat, and god knows what else in addition to only catering to the rich. His staff will verbally abuse you on the phone and in-office as well. How this guy still being paid in any capacity is simply horrifying.

His clinic and Practice is Freak show. Front desk is clueless on what she is doing, can’t even speak English properly, isn’t because it’s Richmond BC, so English doesn’t matter? Heh? This doctor is I repeat —-Mentally unstable. Ask personal questions unrelated to your health issues . This “Dr Lee” has No ethics to speak of. He Shouldn’t even be allowed to practice. If he is still in his 30’s I would suggest another profession possibly as a staff at a circus. It’s a miracle he has lasted this long . His insurance must be high with all the existing lawsuits and new ones coming. Medical school in Canada can’t just allow any clowns with some A’s in its program. I would rather google and take care of myself than visit this joke of a “doctor” . nice little mustache though, it must feel good to hide his cash grab personality, degrading demeanor behind it. Find another family joke, existing patient transfer immediately, new patients good luck. Avoid this plague.

Usually take a week to have an appointment. The waiting time in the clinic is improved from before COVID. I guess his staff didnt overbook his patients as before. He is a calm doctor, friendly, never raise his voice.

If google allows for zero star review this would be it. It’s rare this “md” is punctual. Never. Like patients time don’t matter. But you better be ready to be on time or be prepared to be red flagged by the front desk and Sammy Lee. Unethical practice. Doesn’t get back to patients on lab tests. Doesn’t give proper diagnosis to conditions thus prolong treatment for chronic illness and cancer. Ask personal questions unrelated to what I came in for. Always looking for a quick cash grab. Front desk is subpar. With an attitude like I owe her money, saying the front desk is rude is an understatement. Most of his patients are seniors so they probably don’t know how to file a complaint. I’ll be sure to notify the physician’s college and proper authorities about this freak show. If you want good health and someone to properly take care of your health issues.look else where. Don’t go to sammy lee. You have been warned.

Have to wait 2 weeks for an telephone appointment no matter what, or you can go to emergency. Forgot to call in my last 2 appointments and called after 7 pm. Not follow up with reports at all. I asked to review the report then was told Dr. Lee is going to retire or partially retire. You better find another doctor. I ask for an referral to another doctor, sorry they don’t have such service. I eventually found another doctor and went through difficulties and took 3 weeks to have my files transferred. And of course with a charge over a hundred dollar.

Terrible doctor. You have to wait 2 weeks to see him and he always forgets to call so you have to call the receptionist to remind him. Very unprofessional. I had this doctor for my whole life and he used to be an extremely responsible and an outstanding doctor, however, in the past one or two years, he has really degraded. He is now impatient and only cares about money. One time I visited a walk-in clinic because contacting Dr. Sammy Lee is burdensome. On the day I visited the walk-in clinic, Dr. Sammy Lee called since he forgot to call me a couple days ago, I told the doctor that I talked to the walk-in clinic doctor and he immediately stopped me from talking saying that you are not allowed to see two doctors a day and wasn’t even willing to listen to what I was going to say. This wasn’t what I was mad at as if this is the rule then I have to follow it, but what I thought was unacceptable was that he was the one that forgot to call me in the first place. I’m currently trying to find a new family doctor but it is extremely difficult. One of my family members has a chronic disease but was never diagnosed with this doctor. They complained about their pain and often say they think it may be this disease but this doctor never tried to do any kind of tests so finally we went to a walk-in clinic and was diagnosed with a chronic disease. Thank goodness that we did because if we didn’t, this disease may have gotten too severe for a treatment. This is only one person’s opinion but this really made me mad. If I didn’t go see another doctor my family member may have been diagnosed far too late to get a good treatment. I never wrote a review in my life but this has gotten me very upset. What really pushed me to the edge was when my mom called the receptionist today and said that he isn’t going to be available til September. That is a month away and we needed to get medication from him. I am still attempting to find a new family doctor but in the meantime I thought I should warn others about him.

Our whole family has been with Dr. Sammy Lee for over 17 years since we moved to Richmond. As a family doctor with no major health issue, is he definitely fine. Since few years ago, I find he level of service declined drastically and he is all about money. The receptionist at the front is often rude, not helpful and treat the patients in a very sarcastic manner. I am a diabetic issue for a long period time and I often need to see a doctor for the purpose of seeing my blood test result and to get prescription for my future needed medication. Whenever I have a schedule in person appointment, it is not uncommon that you would need to wait over an hour until the doctor be able to see you. i know the doctor time is valuable, but so is mine and he does not seems to care about your time. I not common after seeing the blood result I would need to request adjustment the medication quantity and not from he own recommendation. I find this to be quite unprofessional cause I would of treat myself instead. During the pandemic, we had to do telephone interview rather than in office and that is totally understandable. However, the telephone appointment is assigned a certain day with no time specified. That means you would have to wait or his call all day. If you missed his call, that's to bad. In one occasion, he did not call me back at all for three consecutive days. I have to call the reception everyday to remind her to remind the doctor to call me back because I am running out of medication for my diabetes. Doctor Lee did call me back on the forth day. I asked the reception to reflect my concern, but she said when you talk to Dr. Lee you can reflect yourself. i got a bit mad and said, I would but he has to call me back first. My wife and my mother in law had to complaint for Dr. Lee since his is quite a smooth talker to elderly. I have been thinking about changing family doctor for myself as I don't see value me as a patient, but as you know finding a doctor accepting new patient is very difficult. A week ago an incident really push me up to the boiling point. I receive a letter from my life insurance company that needed me to complete a form regarding one of the medication I am take and it required a section needed to completed by my family doctor. I called on June 1 speaking with the reception, she requested me to email the office the form and booked me an phone appointment on June 16 to speak to the doctor. I said I don't need to speak to the doctor, I just needed him to complete a section on the form. She replied, then on that day you can tell him
that. I asked why do I need to talk to him to complete a form, the form I already emailed to your office. She replied, do you want the appointment on June 16 or not. I was speechless, and said sure. That next time I still felt very unset and wrote the office an email expressing my concern and how unreasonable this it. I asked, if this is about service fee , the office can bill my directly. I has been four days now with no reply to my email. I really don't want to terminate our service client relationship after 17 years, but it really giving me no choice if this kind of service level continues. Luckily I was about to find a doctor in my area who would accept me as his new patients. i don't know your reason of keeping that receptionist around, may be she is your relative and you have no choice, but you really need to think about if you are still wants to be doctor. Sorry, but I don't think we will meet again.

Worst doctor ever. Just after money and practising dishonest business. Overcharged senior over 80 who needs doctor's letter re health conditions. Only accepts cash & asked for $250. Found out later government official fee is only $214. He took advantage of old peole. Low moral doctor. Terrible! Stay away!

I went to do a consultation when my doctor retired and wanted to give him a try. He was unprofessional and asked very strange questions (where do you work? How do you get paid? How much do you make?) Is that something a doctor usually asks a patient? Not to my knowledge. My parents, however, liked him and stayed with him. Now during the pandemic there's no office hours and it's all done via telephone (not video, just the phone) and Sammy said he would call them on a specific day/time for their appointment. He never did. What kind of doctor does this to their patients and makes them wait all day and they don't even get to tell him their problems? Unprofessional.
