Dr. Diep is a nice man, and he's punctual, but he's only punctual because he rushes through appointments. My appointments with him have never been more than 3-5 minutes. I have a chronic eye condition that impacts my vision, and can potentially cause permanent vision loss, and it has flared up twice in the 6 months I've been going to Dr. Diep. That's because he doesn't check my eye carefully or thoroughly enough to see the early signs of the condition. Then when it flared up his reception told me I'd have to wait 2 or 3 weeks for an appointment with him. I finally asked my optometrist to refer me to another ophthalmologist.

Dr. Diep saved my eye sight from a detached retina. I will be forever grateful for his Intervention several years ago and his annual follow ups. He rushed me into surgery at VGH.

Dr. Diep is. very intelligent and well connected with other eye specialists. ,He told me what looked like glaucoma years ago, as diagnosed by another specialist at North Shore Eye Associates is not glaucoma. He advised me that I do not need testing every year. He is monitoring me every 2 years because my father had glaucoma.

Dr Diep is professional, timely, efficient and effective. He is knowledgeable and experienced about the conditions he identifies and treats. The wait time after checking in is minimal. He is positive, energetic, responds to all questions and provides concise, and realistic information. He also engages in light conversation and never appears stressed. The staff are equally professional and efficient. The focus is on timely service so that you do not have to wait too long at each step.

Office and telephone reception are totally dysfunctional. The wait on telephone to speak to the receptionist was 15 minutes. Called back later and the said they have a lot of referrals to go through and that a referral sent four days ago might be dealt with within the next week. They could not even confirm they had received the referral. Completely discourteous service. Does it reflect on the overall competence of the practice?
