I have been trying for three days to confirm my colonoscopy . No one answers the phone and the mailbox is full. Do I carry on with medications and appointment or not.

Recently, I underwent a cholecystectomy by Dr.Davenport. I am so fortunate and grateful for the most wonderful experience from this Doctor and his team. From his kind, patient receptionists, to the team at the TBRHSC surgical daycare/recovery who assisted me, I thank you all!
Like most, I was hesitant for surgery. Dr. Davenport answered all of my questions thoroughly and made me feel confident in my decisions. The surgery was a success and recovery is going well. đź‘Ť

Staff need to work on patient service and troubleshooting why a patient may not have received their prep instructions. At very least follow up to assure they have received them and answer phone calls or return messages in a timely manner rather than degrade the patient when informed no such email was received (with junk mail also being reviewed) and shrugging off that they have called multiple times in advance.
Time to review your staff and make some changes.
Waiting for actual appointment to take place still.

New staff not professional not helpful very disturbing. He may have his book learning down, but front line people were far better years ago, bad reflection on him, but he doesn't seem to care about patients concerns either. Where did he leave his compassion and humanity? Sad to see training go down the tubes for the lack of respect for his patients and his proffesion. Wake up doc, God didn't give you your talent for you to trash it.

Colonoscopy done by Dr. Davenport recently. I did not know i would not be put to sleep for this. The pain was the worst I've ever, ever experienced in my life time and I've been through a lot. Two or three nurses were holding me down. The Dr was very rough and would not stop for a second so I could breath. I phoned him later and asked questions and told him how I felt. He said he'd write a letter for my file to say " if I ever needed another one, I should go to a hospital that has an anesthesiologist. I also know I wont allow him to perform a colonoscopy on myself ever again. He was not a caring person as we expect our Drs. to be.

I Recently had a colonoscopy (3weeks) it was the worst pain I’ve ever felt, though I was given local anesthetic, the pain on the scale was way above 10, I moaned, I cried, in a threatening, (certainly not compassionate voice) voice he said he’d stop, 3 times the pain was so intense I wanted to scream, each time in a threatening he voice, he would say, “fine you want me to stop and I’ll stop” (sounds like I’m doing him justice) in this day and age, under “local anesthetic” no one should feel that much pain, I swear he was shoving a drain pipe every which way, if you have no compassion in your heart, then I’d find another profession. As of today, everything I try to eat causes pain (I nvr had pain prior, my family is required to have colonoscopy done every 5 years due to my sister dying from colon cancer) . I would NOT recommend now will EVER see this cold hearted man ever again. (Isn’t it bad enough that this procedure for some is extremely invasive, that you felt the need to cause indescribable pain) to this day, I cry and am depressed because of the way YOU made me feel. Most horrible bed side manner.

Waiting for results for weeks, secretary called me 4 times to reschedule appointment. Calls out of the blue asking if I can come in as soon as possible one day. I came, waited over two hours. Was put into a room and waited some more, to find out Dr. Davenport could not find my results. I asked why I was called in here on such sort notice then. He had no answer for me. Terrible bed side manor. Uses all the medical terms and expects you to know what hes talking about.

Dr. Davenport saved my life many times over by preforming emergency bowel and bladder surgeries that I had been waiting for to be done in Toronto for over a year. He also located a bowel perforation that had forced me to the Thunder Bay ER. He is very kind and very competent. He is my hero!

I was at this office last week. What a wonderful team of employees. I felt at ease and Dr. Davenport was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. I can understand why he is very busy.

Knowledgeable very professional doctor easy to talk to about co dition and proposed surgery. Answered all questions. A bit of wait to see him. Barb his secretary is great. The other had headphones on and totally ignored us. No privacy in his reception area talking about private procedures though.. exam rooms could use a good cleaning
