Not knowledgeable about anxiety, depression and its symptoms. He just repeats everything thing you say.

I'm not sure why he seems so easily confused, but that seems to be the case. I've only seen him once, but decided to seek guidance elsewhere. During that one visit, he was on time (he should be, I'm not sure why that's even worthy of rating). Knowledge and Helpfulness seem to be the only categories worth mentioning in this review.

During our session, he seemed to be easily confused as I explained how I think about things and my background history. He doesn't quite seem to be able to comprehend analogies, and appeared to become defensive and agitated as I took notes and asked questions about his professional history. I decided not to continue with him. But then, something strange happened.

Today (weeks later), I received an email receipt from Square.com for the visit. I was happy to see it, though I was expecting some notification from my CC company or Paypal. Nonetheless, Square asked me to rate my experience, so I did. Square asked if I would like to receive a reply from this doctor? I clicked the button to indicate I did not want to receive a reply from this doctor. Less than an hour later, this doctor called me in regard to my review. I asked him if he was aware that I had indicated I didn't want to receive a reply from him? He said, "Yes, but I wanted to find out why you left negative comments?" Is that bizarre, or what???

So, in other words: he is aware of my request, but felt his need to talk to me about my negative review was greater than my need to be un-harassed (harassment being legally defined as unwanted attention). In any case, that last part is what drove me to write this review on RateMDs. Contacting me after I asked that he not, seems like some sort of boundary issue.

As far as this rating system goes; he doesn't have a staff, so ignore the one star for that. Although, since he operates as his own receptionist maybe I should note that his phone voice is polite, but as his own administrative assistant; he left a typo in the 3rd generation photocopied documents he asked me to fill out prior to the appointment.

Dr. Verville is a solid, knowledgeable psychologist. I took my" tween" to see him and was impressed. As a psychologist he provides cognitive therapy, and is not involved with medication prescriptions.

My son began seeing Dr. Verveille in Park Ridge and continued with him when he moved to Oak Park. Which says a lot. He is very understanding and good with adolescents. He is fastidious about sticking to his word and has been totally ethical in all ways. I am convinced that he truly cares about his patients.

the only thing that this doctor was considered about was getting his payment. I originally wanted him to do Adhd testing on me. He said he would re test me, That testing never took place, this doctor does not listen to his patients. Going to him was like living in the stone age. Thank God I found a doctor who listened to me.I am back on the proper meds and doing great.
