Dr.Stein saved my life. He also saved me from immense knee pain by urging me to accept injections. I am with no pain already for four years.
He seems to be often rushed and his appointments are very short, but I am already used to that ,
I am confident that he will help me when I need it.

Been a patient of Dr. Stein from 2009. Dr. Stein originally diagnosed me with arthritis (formally
diagnosed. I was diagnosed based on physical limitations, hair loss, fatigue, chronic headaches, chronic chest pain,
MRI and xrays) and provided treatment (infections and various medications). As time went on he referred me to pain management and physiotherapy. Dr Stein informed me that there is no other fixing the issue just medication which I have trouble low tolerance. As time progress my health got worse. He conducted blood work which were all ana positive however he did not voluntarily discuss the results. When I pressured him for the results he stated everything was GOOD. Whan I asked about all the orange abnormal results (lupus and mixconnective tissue disease) I obtained from my Ontario record he says that I only have fibromyalgia . He says I have never had arthritis or inflammation. It's as though I was speaking to a totally different doctor or person with personality disorder. I was so shocked. He just completed gaslight me. Dismissed all my previous medical results done @StJosephhospital. Dr Stein got cold and heartless. He then stated that even my pain specialist says nothing was wrong with me. This left me emotionally broken for days. Days after the appointment I had to visit the urgent care clinic due to extreme fatigue, brain fog, pain and weakness. All my blood work returned with additional orange flags. I was referred back to my family doctor for follow up due to concerns with low red and white blood count, D deficiency and positive ana. I confronted the pain specialist in tears at my next appointment. The pain specialist stated that he has never spoken with Dr. Stein about my case. The pain specialist stated that the only communication was a that you for the referral in 2016 after a major flare and brief hospitalization at St Joseph Hospital. Dr. Stein has a low of medica bais likely pharmaceutical companies that visit his office and bash patients while waiting ti see him in th waiting area of his office. Dr Stein should not be working with sick patients. He is dishonest and unkind. Avoid him at all cost....

My appointment was less than 5 minutes, my condition was diagnosed. I was told many my age get this and to take Tylenol and out I was and rather stunned. I did not say anything to the secretary's question whether I am supposed to book a follow up appointment due to shock of this appt. I had to use Google to find out more about my affliction and the management and treatment options. Totally unacceptable!
Now I have to find a rheumatologist who will be helpful and offer treatment. Do not recommend this doctor who is just quickly cashing in on OHIP.

I won’t recommend this doctor to anyone. He spent five minutes with me, and the only thing he said is that I may require surgery in the future due to my arthritis. He didn’t seem to be interested in helping me in any way, didn’t bother suggesting any medication or treatment for the pain. Honestly, this appointment was a total waste of my time. My family doctor and the walk-in clinic helped me better, at least I’m trying some medicine that seems to be helping me for now.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Stein. So helpful and kind. Very knowledgeable doctor who goes above and beyond for his patients. I am moving away from the area and will continue to come to Toronto to see him because of the high level of care I have received. His office manager Christina is also excellent at her job, extremely efficient and friendly.

Is this doctor aware of any conditions other than fibromyalgia?
He had my ct scan with cancerous results and told me i had fibromyalgia. I went to a walk in clinic with the results the same day and they referred me to a rapid access cancer clinic as priority 1

Absolute shame of a doctor. Please go anywhere else to see a rheumatologist.

This doctor forgot about my appointment for 4 hours and then casually called to tell me he forgot.

This doctor is discriminatory and will not evaluate you fairly or neutrally. St joes rheumatology department is an absolute disgrace to the community.

This doctor knows nothing.
