On the recommendation of a friend who'd had his cataracts done by her, after several attempts at contacting her office, I was given an appointment with Dr Kohly.

As soon as she came into the examination room, I knew that I would be in good hands.
She was friendly and patient and made me feel completely at ease. She explained the procedure thoroughly. After seeing that my cataracts were very thick, she decided to do the surgery herself.

Knowing that I was anxious about the procedure, she insured that I had enough sedative that I didn't remember anything.

There wasn't one bit of discomfort following the surgery and my vision was dramatically better and continued to improve over the next few weeks. I don't even need glasses to drive.

I can't say enough about Dr Kohly's skill and professionalism.
She's made a dramatic change to one very important aspect of my health and life.

I'll always be grateful for the recommendation.

I was very impressed by the entire staff and Dr. KOHLY herself of how they attended to me. I have read several reviews which I think aren't fair reviews which truly reflects her professionalism and passion towards her patients. I had earlier received a phone call from Jenny her reception who informed me to arrive on time, and the process can take 1/2 to 2 hours and it took less than that. However some reviews are mentioning the time frame and parking charges! What are parking charges have to do with the Dr? The time is within what we are informed and one has to realise it's a process where you have to go through 3 check uos before the Dr has to see you. Let's. Call a spade a spade, all the medical practioners are doing their very best to serve their patients diligently and professionally. Let's not break their morale for issues which aren't necessary. My experience at Dr. KOHLY was superb and I appreciate her dedication and professionalism.

One of the worst health-care providers as has no empathy, compassion and has no patience for questions from her patients and their family to become further informed. Having worked in healthcare over 35 years, it’s unfortunate she is only in this business for the money and prestige like many others in the system, even though she interviews responses to indicate otherwise. She is a mother of 4 and this said, you would think she would have patience as a mother to answer questions. However, if you come with questions that she cannot answer, she will brush you off and shoo you out of her office. Dr. Kohly is highly not recommended as being her patient will give you undue anxiety. She needs to treat her patients, every single one of them, and not just a select few
one of them, with respect, dignity they deserve and check y

I went to Dr. Koly because my local ophthalmologist referred me to her. I wish he hadn’t referred me at all. Upon giving me my results of my tests for my eyes.. which essentially was Dr. Kohly telling me I was going to go blind.. she didn’t give me any sympathy, didn’t give me any options as to what might help or not help.. she was completely emotionless and more concerned about the next patient.
I felt like she was ready to push me out the door as if I was a number, not a patient. I’m not saying she needs to bend over backwards to show exuberant amounts of compassion.. but do better.

This dr first of all should be held accountable to refunds from screwed up surgery from doing cataract surgery on my senior father. He went in there being able to see and came out, declared legally blind. We had to go to two other appointments to see her. She did nothing, not helpful, not knowledgeable, not explaining and basically telling us to keep coming back why so she can make money then I finally looked at her, and I said my father can’t see it’s like he’s blind as my father blind after the surgery she looked at me and said no he’s stable, and when I got the call from the eye place that my dad hast to go and see which is a low vision place called me and said I was referred to you to get your dad some glasses if he’s able to and read it to me, that he was declared legally blind. Now I almost fell on the floor, hearing it from this person I didn’t hear it from the doctor. My dad didn’t hear anything from the doctor face-to-face. She just wanted to see him a couple more times and I don’t know why it’s not easy my father is a senior he’s not well he’s very frail and she didn’t seem to care at all. What he goes through her stuff did she does Not she’s very cold bedside manner not a fan, but her lack of compassion, the truth, and or possibly cause my father to now be blind without any discussion on what happened in surgery that caused this what’s the underline issue was it her doing mistake screwed up or was it because my father had underlying problems, which is it I’ve heard nothing and I’ve now went on here to read her stuff, and I am horrified by how many people dealt with the same thing I did I think there should be a suit against this doctor, and I’m gonna go look into that I don’t appreciate that. My poor senior fathers last days are going to be blind frail deaf can’t walk he’s just a mess. All he had was his eyes and she took that away from him. I’m a palled at her on caring about our seniors if she was just honest and explained things might’ve been different. I still want to know if it was her fault , because I have no knowledge of her saying that it was otherwise something wrong with my father but you bet I’m gonna look into this further that’s my horrible experience and the truth

Great experience every time i've seen Dr. Kohly. Having had retinal tears in both eyes, I've had some challenges with my eyes. I was concerned the first time i went to see her as I'd had some really negative experiences with more junior eye doctors. Much to my relief, I found Dr. Kohly to be a consummate professional with a calm demeanour and a caring nature. Her office is modern, clean with up to date equipment and her staff is on the ball. Working with Dr. Kohly feels like you're in the hands of someone who's at the top of their game. I recommend her without reservation.

I attended an appt today with my wife. We were to find out the results of significant DNA testing for her eye condition. We waited about an hour and a half. We were granted about 7 minutes with the nastiest doctor I have ever encountered. She let us know there was no treatment available with the compassion of a rattle snake. And then gave us unhelpful, probably inaccurate information. It was entirely evident to me that this person had no interest in us, because there was no over-priced surgical option possible. She needs to go to sincerity school, spend a decade working on her unhealthy ego, and stop pretending that she is all that because she is a surgeon. There are two types of successes in the world- those who became more grateful and humble, those who get trapped inside their bottomless (and ever-boring) ego. She had the verbal affect of some kind of valley girl elitist-wannabe. She may well be a good surgeon, but do your best to never encounter her personally. The male doctor we met with last time was humane, compassionate, and well-informed. The little brat we met today is a phony horror. Avoid her at all costs.

Dr. Radha Kohly was completely lacking in empathy for a patient who she has diagnosed as incurable. She never turned to face the patient. Was totally occupied tapping info into her computer with her back to the patient. Lacking empathy. Lacking communication skills. Perhaps she was very busy and distracted and dealing with many patients at the same time. But her lack of attention was hurtful. Now this patient is unwilling to seek her counsel again. And it has been five years since that appointment and the patient remains frustrated , disappointed and unhappy. With inadequate vision and no help to assist her quality of life. Heather McClellan

Dr. Kohly is an excellent opthamologist. Her staff are fantastic, particularly Jenny. Wait times are challenging, but understandable, given the pressures on heart care in Ontario. It is also important to note that, given her specialty ion retinology, she is regularly accommodating emergency visits from patients having a vision crisis.
I feel incredibly lucky to be under Dr. Kohly’s care.
