I have been going to Dr. Riszk for at least 10 years now when I had lost a filling. He saw me right away and fixed it. His staff is friendly and attentive. I have had a few crowns replaced and appreciate the fact that I felt no pain. He is quick and is very knowledgeable.

I think Dr. Rizk has gotten lazy and bored. His only solution to dental issues are root canals and crowns. He will send patients from downtown to Canotek Rd. for crown colour matching. Last time, after making my way there at some expense, and while I was in Dr. Rizk’s chair, frozen, with my original crown removed, he announced that the new crown was the wrong colour and asked if I wanted to go back and have it done over. He was waving his arms around and saying “It’s up to you. It’s up to you.” There’s not much choice involved when you are in the dental chair, frozen, and missing a tooth in the front of your mouth. He also doesn’t seem to care if the patient is in pain. In addition, bragging about your kids’ high priced American education while an uninsured, low income senior is in the chair is bad form, to say the least.

I completely agree with the comment from April 2, 2019. Dr. Rizk is very happy to put crowns where a filling would be enough. He is very arrogant and doesn't like to explain much. He gives few details and speaks fast and makes it look like it's totally normal what he's suggesting. Yes, he totally compromises good teeth, I absolutely agree with this comment below. What should be a simple filling quickly turns into a crown which costs $1,500. He told me it would be a filling, and I ended up with two crowns. Crowns are good for about 5 to 10 years, and then have to be replaced. I was fooled once, but the second time when I saw the same pattern, I got a second opinion, and the second dentist confirmed that there was no need for a crown. The hygienists know how he works and will call him whenever they see you have a plastic filling, whether it needs to be removed or not, and he will suggest a crown. Never again.

First off let me say that the dentist is a reoccurring experience .. and Dr. Rizk knows that better than anyone. As a result, he gets to know his patients, cares about their well being and ultimately their long term health. He is always putting his patients first and is there to serve you. Not only have I never had a better dentist, but I have never had a better professional period. His knowledge is untouchable and his professionalism makes every visit an exciting one. He is personable, cares about the practice, treats his staff right (it shows how happy they are!) and I know there exists not a better practice in the world.

I left this office because time and again I felt they were taking advantage of my insurance. They kept saying I needed a root canal, so I got a second opinion; that dentist said I needed a filling. They insisted I needed a mouth guard to cure my headaches (which went away without its use). They billed me for things that weren't discussed thoroughly before executing. On multiple occasions the hygienists talked about how much was spent on them for a staff trip, which is fine, but perhaps shouldn't be discussed so frivolously in that setting near patients who are paying huge amounts. The doctor is capable, but I felt they were always after money.

I have been visiting Dr. Rizk for over 4 years and have only had positive experiences. I have had work done ranging from cleanings to fillings, so I cannot attest to more complex work such as crowns or root canals. For the work he has done on myself it has been great. He does have a very busy office and works on multiple patients at once but I have never felt that he has been impatient or rushed while working on me. His staff are always pleasant and professional.

Dr. Rizk is, overall excellent. He is very adept at surgery and his staff is generally outstanding. I appreciate that now certain staff members are capable of filling cavities. The only draw back is for more complex work, I do feel I am on a production line. There is a little waiting as he tend to work on 3 or 4 patients at once. While always competent and professional it means patients may have to wait on the chair. I would not change dentist for that, however. I know I am good hands with him.
