I would like to say after reading previous reviews, there are two sides to every story. Dr Iqbal is a wonderful doctor with a kind heart. The lady that works for him is also very fair, helpful and listens to my needs. I have never had any issues reaching the office AND they allow texting (even after hours). It sounds to me like the negative reviews are from patients that don't like to hear the truth and are having a hissy fit over it. It is really too bad this site doesn't allow both parties to voice their side of the story. I find it very hard to believe that his staff or himself would treat anyone like a 2yr old - makes me wonder how this patient treated them. And in all honesty, making a public post like that and having a temper tantrum shows that the patient does act like a 2yr old!! Dr Iqbal is amazing. He always is on time and takes as much time as a person needs to listen to your concerns. He always follows up in a timely manner even if I don't have an appointment, he doesn't hesitate to call and inform me of results or a change in my medication. I highly recommend Dr Iqbal and his staff if you need an appointment with an Internist.

All he could say was my husband was morbidly obese would not hear him out would not listen to a word he said about his symptoms made him feel like crap. He is a crap doctor with crap staff he did blood work in October and no one could make him an appointment then they call in March saying they are going to discharge him yet he had a text saying they would call him in the new year how messed up is their staff and him. He is useless and I suggest no one goes to him

I have not met Dr. Iqbal in person as my appointment was by phone, but as of today I will not be his patient anymore not because of Dr Iqbal himself, but I refuse to be talked to by someone on the telephone like I was a 2yr old child. I am 82 yr. young I don't ask for much, but little respect goes a long way. His office person acts I should not have any contact with the doctor, but anytime I call the office is closed and how do you get a requisition if the off is only open to her convenience. I have no problem with the doctor he has been more than helpful, however I refuse to go to his office at all..................

Dr Iqbal appears to lack the sensitivity to be dealing with elderly patients. Very recently he misdiagnosed my father in laws first of two strokes as Vascular Dimentia. My father in law is recovering from surgery at UNHBC presently. Dr. Iqbal later requested an MRI which has since confirmed not one stroke, but two. Even we could see that the patient appeared to have had a stroke. We were dumbfounded when Dr Iqbal flatly rejected that. Even the nurse on duty phoned us to tell us that she thought my father in law had had a stroke in the night. We have lost valuable time brea use of Dr. Iqbal’s careless handling of this case. So, not only do we have a disfunctional institution, we have highly paid professionals phoning it in. Shame on you doctor.

Dr Iqbal was very thorough and got the tests Ran that i needed done and referred me to Vancouver Saint Paul’s where I was also very well taken care and i’m happy to say now recovering and all better!
