She was absolutely terrible, didn’t help me at all and was rude. I hope no one else goes to her.

Very caring, respectful doctor. Very good listener. Suggested medication but didn’t get pushy or punitive when I declined. I got better after I saw her. Mark is also very helpful and professional.

I think Dr. Lysak and Mark are doing the best they can with the resources and parameters they are provided . The BC healthcare system is very broken and heavily influenced by insurance providers and politics.
I wish the overpaid government bureaucrats allowed ongoing individual treatment vs. The MSP paid virtual group therapy offering but that doesn’t fit the payment model they are compensated and authorized for.
Go to Dr. Lysak’s web site and read the free book she has to offer . It is likely EXACTLY what you are experiencing and may provide some clarity.

I was really lucky to get in with Pauline. Her and Mark are both amazing people. Pauline seem to truly care and has treated me better than any doc I’ve ever seen combined. She listens and understands my concerns about medications I’m wary of (I’m pretty new to taking any meds). I’ve also attended one of her group therapy sessions which taught me so many tools for my depression. I have seen her 8 months now and I still have a ways to go but I feel taken care of which is pretty huge when you feel alone in dealing with your health, depression or bipolar.
