My analytic experience with Dr. Finnegan resulted in my having a much better life resolving as much as one can, a very painful early life of sexual abuse.

Dr. Finnegan is an extremely experienced mental health professional. I came to him in deep mental anguish and he was able to pull me through. He is a Freudian analyst but is flexible in his thinking and always puts the "patient first". He is caring, compassionate and a credit to his profession.

Dr. Finnegan is an AMAZING md, covered under OHIP. He is remarkably knowledgable about issues pertaining to sexual abuse / dissociation / post traumatic stress etc. He is thoughtful and caring and explains in plain language the impact of psychological phenomena on the psyche. Dr. Finnegan in an avowed Freudian but does not let traditional psychoanalytic theory limit his understanding or appreciation of other types of analysis such as those informed by spirituality or a feminist conciousness. I highly reccomend him. Dr. Finnegan may not be taking new patients right away but it is totally worth the wait to be able to see him. Far superior to any other mental health practicioner.
