Went in for an ultrasound of a varicose vein referral from my GP. The staff were great, excellent even.

Dr. Chen immediately gaslit me when I showed him my vein and then called it a ‘spider vein’ and said people just live with that pain. And at that point I was done. But the. He proceeded to tell me the cost of killing the vein and that $1/pill option is too expensive for me.

To saw the least I was never going to let him touch me after he said ‘spider vein’. I would suggest to doctor Chen that you treat people like their not complete mornings who may have some connection with their bodies.

I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH! My appt to see you on APR 13 2022 - you did ultrasound on both legs for me and showed me exercises to do to help me - I am so grateful for that - it is helping me alot and I am losing the extra weight as well which will make it alot better. My skin is improving alot as I started to take Vitamin E drops 2x day and B complex in addition. You were very patient and helpful listening as well and knew just what to ask and logically attentive to making recommendations for me.

I just want to let you know that I am feeling better, much better with those exercises and grateful that I was able to see you for an appointment. I appreciate and respect your skill and experience which is to be admired.
You have inspired me so THANKYOU so much!!!
Not only that but you also helped my husband live longer after having his heart bypass in 2003 at St. Pauls, then with you doing the Carotid Artery surgery in 2008 - he was able to live until March 13, 2015 and return to singing in 8 languages managing the Euro Band at the German Club until the end of 2012. He had a great tenor voice. I fully supported him carrying the instruments to the stage every week - Ball Room Dancing Music . Thanks to YOU he was here longer and I was able to share more moments of happiness with him as well while at the same time his singing made many people very happy. I fully trust and recommend this Doctor to anyone out there.

Feb. 2022. Dr. Chen was arrogant and felt my spouse was wasting his time. The right leg is dragging and very heavy when walking. It is also abnormally cold. His advice was to use a blanket to warm up when sitting or move to Hawaii Ha Ha! Totally unprofessional and the problem is still not diagnosed. No helpful advice from this fellow at all. Find someone else.

I was refereed to Dr. Jerry Chen by VGH emergency team .I was admitted by VGH staff and booked for an operation to remove my toe nail. At the hospital possibly by student surgeons removed my toe. The operation was so horrible my toe bone was sticking out of the operated wound. Several nurses at Fraser Medical Team were so socked and expressed doubt about healing my wound And then Dr. Jerry Chen booked me in his VGH Clinique and explored the wound and removed the bone and helped heal my wound. That was the great astonishment to the Fraser nursing staff .They ( those nurses) and me Dr. Jerry Chen is not only a highly capable surgeon, he is a curer and , very compassionate surgeon I sincerely recommend him. I am a senior with several educational degrees and practical business experiences as well survived many medical problems.

Dr. Chen is professional, kind and has great bed side manners. He explains everything about your upcoming operation and answers all your questions, to ensure you have all the information. He takes the time to visit you daily after your surgery, to ensure you are healing and feeling better; his surgical team also is very attentive and caring.
There are not too many Surgeons who are professional, kind and caring.

I was suffering from severe pain, heaviness, swelling, and visible skin discoloration in my both legs. I was referred to Dr. Chen by a walk-in health clinic near me and I can’t wait for the referral answer from the hospital. I sent an email to Dr. Chen personally and he was very responsive, and I met him in his office at the Pacific Executive Health clinic for consultation, ultrasound, and diagnosis. Then I had started the treatment plan in his office at the Vancouver General Hospital for 8 months.
I had a positive experience and excellent practice overall in Dr.’s Chen office at PEH clinic and VGH. Excellent doctor … kind, considerate, very professional, and trustable. He explained everything and answered every question. From start to finish the whole staff is amazing in both offices especially his assistants Anne & Cheryl. The procedure went better than expected, my legs are feeling great, pain-free and I feel much better now. I wish I would have had the procedure earlier.
I trust PEH Clinic and I would highly recommend Dr. Chen. Thank you, Dr. Chen, and to your staff!!!

Dr, Chen is professional and knowledgeable while at the same time being compassionate and interested in the patient. I feel very secure knowing Dr. Chen is managing my vascular healthcare.

Saw Dr. Chen with my elderly mother recently. Very impressed with his knowledge and bedside manor! Secretary was professional and went over and above to accommodate us and help us through the surgery process. Can't say enough about this clinic.
