Not an intelligent doctor, Does not attempt to help towards healing in any way. Terrible staff, Never answers the phone, you must walk in the office to get through to anyone. No compassion or skill. Strongly recommend to avoid the terrible care you will receive from this doctor.

Dr mason performed a colonoscopy on me and poked a hole in my bowels. When I was in pain and didn't know why, no one at the surgery center paid attention to me. When I commented to Dr. Mason, post surgery, he said it was "a difficult colonoscopy". The next morning I called his office, still in pain and his nurse told me Dr. Mason said it was "normal" . I then went to m y family doctor who sent me to emergency room immediately and I had bowel repair that night, resulting in an 8 day stay in the hospital. SInce then I have had to have two inscisional repairs It's the "gift that keeps on giving". He had the nerve to come to the hospital and charge me for the visits. I have told everyone about this experience and to stay away from him.

Dr. Mason is a terrible person. I don't even know why he is practicing medicine - oh that's right, MONEY. He is downright rude and unprofessional to his patients. He actually told me he wouldn't fill out an authorization form for my prescription because he was "too busy." But, I'm not too busy to sit in your office for two hours for nothing?? He will just waste as much of your money as he can with ridiculous tests you don't need while not addressing your real problems. And don't bother trying to call the office, they will just leave you on eternal hold or hang up on you if they don't feel like dealing with you. Please, steer clear of this vile human being. I'm pretty sure the one good review on here was written by a member of his staff.

The staff (front desk) is clueless. It took several requests to have my current results sent to my primary doctor. Their latest blunder is not having my referral on file which was sent to them one day after my appt. in early August and confirmed by physician's office 8/31. This isn't the first time this has happened. The office waits are long (1-1-1/2 hours) with waiting room temperatures reaching very uncomfortable levels. There are two floor fans but no one thought to put them on.

Worst bedside manner of any doctor I've come across. I have severe ulcertive colitis and dr. Mason never explains things, never asks questions and spends the least amount of time he can with his patients. He doesn't care if you get better or worse. I saw him for the last time recently and I left the office in a rage. Waited over an hour to see him and he spent 5 minutes talking to me. I had no answers... Nothing! Worst GI doctor.

If you have abdominal pain and other doctors are not finding the cause, run, don't walk, to make an appointment with Dr. Mason. My insurance company spent over $220,800. on a 10-day hospital stay, surgery, meds, and endless tests with no diagnosis. This was 2 years ago, with continued pain, more doctor visits and no results. This was pre-Dr. Mason. Post-Dr. Mason? Within 2 visits, Dr. Mason had me correctly diagnosed. Dr. Mason did what 9 doctors, a hospital staff, and numerous consults could not do. He got me an accurate and timely diagnosis. Results. And he spent time with me. He cared. He paid attention. Like those doctors you see in the movies but know they don't really exist in real life. And when I tried to express thanks, he just shrugged. It's just what he does. And he made all the difference for me. I can't thank him enough. in my books, he's a terrific doc who got me results when no one else did. Bottom line? HIGH recommendation.
