My daughter has her for a doctor. When she hands in paperwork to be filled out it wont be done for 3 months. I pick it up. My daughter was in a car accident in July she' s still waiting for her meds . My daughter broke her ankle. She never fully recovered it's been hot swollen and very sore to walk on . Dr says buy a new pair of sneakers . Dr is not compassionate , rude ,ignorant and shouldn't be a doctor.

Dr. Bednarska is a wonderful, caring doctor. She cares for my entire family, including an elderly uncle who has intellectual disabilities. I also have rare neurological disorders and a handful of other conditions that make my care more complex…she is always patient and understanding in what our family needs and how we need to receive care. When I come to her with migraines she sees me in a darkened room and speaks quietly. She is very efficient and speaks quickly, but I just ask her to repeat or slow down! She is such a great doctor that she picks up on possible issues just from chatting. For example, I might be talking about my headaches and say I get fluttering in my chest and shortness of breath when it happens, but we know I get anxious often. She hears this and says, “hmmm. Let’s check your heart rate just to be sure.” And guess what? My heart was skipping beats. Some people here are complaining she sends her patients to specialists and for lots of tests- I switched to her after my previous doctor didn’t listen to my complaints or take me seriously and my eye doctor ended up sending me to London for emergency with tumours. I would rather a doctor that covers her bases and Dr Bednarska is awesome at that!!

Bednarska is more concerned about a 'clock' than respecting the patient in front of her in office; she's always late and always rushes people - always! She has never been on time for any appointments, even the 1st appointment of the day, she is late. On top of that, Bednarska doesn't listen and or empathize/sympathize with the patient on their 'concerns' and instead she loves to diagnose you with all kinds of medical conditions that are not associated with the patient. Anyone who has autoimmune conditions stay far away, as she has no idea how to respect and understand these patients, and she'll always 'farm' you out to dozens of specialists that aren't the wishes of the patient, and when the patient asks for a specific specialist she denies the patient that opportunity. Also, when other professionals she sends you to suggest that thyroid tests should absolutely include Free T3/T4 as well as TSH, and that before diagnosing any other conditions, first you need to correct the thyroid - Bednarska will not listen to the other professional advice! it's insane how stubborn she is, and you will find yourself respectfully arguing with this autocratic individual (she doesn't care about people only herself).

Dr. Bednarska talks so fast she doesn't even hear the patients answer to her questions! She is the most annoying doctor I have ever had and the least concerned with the person in front of her. She has this thing about always saying the patient needs counselling/mental health drugs...even when the patient has said "NO" several dozen times and have already tried so many options; she's not there to help you, she's there to help herself! I am tired of this doc who uses numbers only when dealing with medical issues instead of approaching things in a holistic medical way to ensure the patients wellness is the 1st and foremost thing in the appointment. Bednarska is always always always late for appointments as she has poor management/organizational skills and needs to stop talking so much in appointments - listen to your patients! I also find that she sits on the referrals that she sends you as a patient to and we all know that any referral takes 4-6 months once it's been received, so her lack of care is disgusting! I have been her patient from day 1, and I'm now thinking it might be better to see someone else in the practice cause she's a horrible doctor.

My family and I have been with Dr.B for some time and not once have I personally met her. My mother has gone to Dr.B in an interest to quit smoking and she suggested my mother stop on the side of the road every time she wants to have a cigarette instead of simply reccomendong a patch or any other smoking inhibitors. I am sure Dr.B is a nice woman, but again I wouldn’t know, because she is never in the building when I go.

Dr. Bednarska was the first family doctor we have had since moving to Kitchener in 2000. Until she accepted us into her practice we were dependent on the downtown clinic, which we loved. We were fortunate to learn when Dr. Bednarska began to take patients a few years ago. She is everything we want in a family doctor - knowledgeable, kind, and thorough. She respects our decisions. A year ago we were able to add our mother/mother-in-law to Dr. Bednarska's care. My mother says that she has never had such a thorough and caring doctor in her life; she is 86 years old so that is saying something! Thank you Dr. Bednarska.

Dr Bednarska is so helpful with any issues our family has. She is very caring and knowledgable. She speaks clearly and provides information in writing if you need it. We switched to her from another local doctor and we are all so happy we did so! Her nurses and receptionists are also very caring and pleasant to deal with.
