Dr. Murray and his team were wonderful! I have had several basal cells removed by them and they are always so reassuring, caring and diligent. Highly recommend him.

I waited 3 years to get into this clinic because they promised minimal scarring.
I had every faith in Dr Christian Murray, until I took my Band-Aid off.
My original basal cell carcinoma was small enough that you could use one of the little round Band-Aids on.
Dr Murray explain to that he wasn't a plastic surgeon, but he took extra courses so that he could perform surgery on people's faces with minimal scarring.
When I took the bandage off, to my horror my face had a three and a half inch incision that look like it was made with a grapefruit spoon, it was ragged and crooked and it had approximately five stitches that were far apart from each other . Using five stitches for a 3 in incision you can imagine the skin that was left in between and what it looked like it was bubbled up and the ends there was no straight line like you make with a scalpel. I wish I could send a picture cuz I would show it to you. I was horrified when I took the Band-Aid off.
The skin was bubbled up puckered and we are gouges in between each stitch as if he was trying to put the needle in couldn't get it in so moved to the next.
I asked him how many stitches he was putting in he said one because he didn't want to make knots. He said he would make it in loops but when I took the Band-Aid off there was no loops.
Individual stitching with small knots is the way to not make scarring. He did a lazy man's job on my face.
And here's the kicker as soon as he did it I felt my ear hurt so I put my finger on my ear and told him that it hurt. He just said don't touch it. later when I took the Band-Aid off and looked at the incision the reason my ear hurt was because the end knot had been pulled through my skin so one of the parts that stick out from knot end was in my skin, the other was outside my skin as it's supposed to be. The material they use to stitch my skin was very coarse like hard plastic and the one piece that was inside my skin is sticking into me from the inside.
So now I have to go to the ER this is 6 days later I have to go to the ER to have them make an incision to pull that knot out of my face which is of course going to make a rude scar.
I called Dr Murray's office several times to speak to him he never returned my phone call so now I have to go to the ER.
Honestly after taking the Band-Aid off and seeing the horrible thing he did to my skin I wouldn't want to go back to him to even have it correct it I mean why would he do this to it felt personal like you just didn't care and I wasn't important so he did a quickie job when he knew he was supposed to do individual stitching with little knots.

Following a recent diagnosis of malignant melanoma, I was referred to Dr. Murray for a wider excision. His professionalism, as well as his calm and positive attitude were very reassuring and I was certain I was in good hands. The surgery was booked for only one week after the consultation. The procedure itself went very well. Due to his exceptional skills and expertise, Dr. Murray managed to close the incision rather than doing a skin graft. As a result, the recovery time was faster and the appearance of the incision is amazing, leaving minimal scarring. I’m so grateful to Dr. Murray for his care!

I've had 2 MOH's surgeries with Dr. Murray now. Both were challenging, but he explained the process thoroughly & even made me laugh. He also called my home, after the more complicated one, to check on me in the evening.

My surgery extended beyond the lunch hour, so one of the staff saved me a sandwich. I was starved; it was the best tuna sandwich ever! Very comforting.

Dr. Murray also referred me to a specialist & a PTD (photodynamic therapy) program at the London Regional Cancer Centre, which was very beneficial & preventative.

Dr. Murray is patient, professional & affable. Both my procedures were effective, with minimal scarring. I will only go to him for MOH's surgery & highly recommend him.
