Had a wrist surgery performed by Dr. Sapienza. I already had a surgery scheduled with another doctor and went to Dr. Sapienza for second opinion. He was very thorough, explained everything in great detail about trauma, pre- and post-surgery, etc. I ended up getting a surgery with Dr. Sapienza and was very satisfied with the results.

Dr Sapienza performed surgery on my wrist. He explained each step he planned to take and answered all my questions. I had no issues or problems following surgery. His bedside manner is great.

I went to Dr. Sapienza all set to sign up for surgery after consulting with two other physicians who recommended it. Dr. Sapienza told me that surgery would not help my pain. That all I needed was a brace for a few months and he was right! He is totally honest and honorable.

From the first visit until my surgery yesterday I have had nothing but excellent, prompt and courteous care. Jackie was able to get me hooked up with the tests I needed and an appointment with an internist for medical clearance for the surgery within a couple of days. Dr. Sapienza explains everything about my treatment to me, allows me the ability to choose my treatment options based on his explanation of all the test results, the various options with their risks and benefits making me feel as if I am a member of the treatment team which is how it should be. There is not enough space for me to list all the positives about Dr. Sapienza, NYU and his staff. The best!!!

The previous reviewers are wrong. The staff, including the PAs are great. Dr. Sapienza is knowledgeable and takes his time with each patient. He is a skilled surgeon who does excellent work. I would unconditionally recommend him.
