Before I state my position, I know Covid-19 has changed the world - changed how things are done, but people still have medical issues. My main problem is the office staff.
As a patient, I do not wish to explain my condition to anyone but the doctor or even a nurse who might understand better what my needs as a patient are.
I am actually quite pleased to have Dr. Purzner as our GP; however, getting to see and/or talk to him in an urgent situation is IMPOSSIBLE due to the office staff.
If and when you get to talk to him or see him, he treats the patient well, refers to specialists as necessary and gets to the root of the problem. BUT...following up with issues that are in limbo (yes, due to Covid) has become a major problem for my ongoing care. Thankfully another doctor at the hospital is now in control and I may actually get the care I need.

Dr Purzner is a wonderful advocate to have, he’s been extremely helpful over the years and has improved his bedside manner...I’ve seen him interact with older patients and he shows genuine concern and willingness to help.

DR. PURZNER has been my dr for about 3 years ever since i was diagnosed with lymphoma.He has been amazing dealing with all my concerns.He was very helpful in dealing with the side effects from my chemo but more then that he just so very nice,easy to talk to,and genuinely caring.Wish we could clone him we need more like him!!!!!lol

DR. PURZNER (correct spelling), has been our doctor for or 6 years. He is knowledgeable and thorough in his approach and will take as much time as needed to deal with a patient's concerns. Elliot Lake is very fortunate to have him. If he is late, it is usually because he is dealing with an emergency at the hospital.

Someone should correct the spelling of Dr. PURZNER's name. He is an excellent Doctor. He is always there for us and has handled complicated situations for me and my Partner. We are Seniors and he gives us the utmost respect. He is compassionate, caring. We have had many doctors during our lives and he is one of the very best. Young Doctor therefore up to date with latest technology.
