As you can see, unfortunately Dr. Anderson deals with a lot of people who have psychiatric diagnoses which predispose them to have negative opinions on anyone that does not bend over at their will. He is a fantastic physician and has helped me navigate my mental health for years.

Going through comments I see there are differing opinions. My experience with Dr Cameron Anderson was not one I'd want to endure again.

His lies to me about what he promised he could do to impress a resident doctor and then go on vacation for my whole time in the hospital has once again shown me you should never trust a doctor and deal with your own issues on your own. You are alone. Doctors like him are just egos looking to grow. Abound him and deal with your issues on your own. The system is a system and nothing more

He will talk down to you and lock you up in a mental hospital where you will be there so long you will lose you job. The only thing important to him is his ego

I had a stay in VGH and I cannot warn against this doctor more strongly. Unfortunately, he practices only at the hospital, so if you're seeing him, there's nothing you can do. He is a completely fake person and has no consideration for his patients whatsoever. I was walking by the nursing station one time and heard him making fun of one of the more ill patients to the nurses and laughing about it. Disgusting behavior for a doctor. Just know that you are not alone if you were abused by Dr. Anderson. And if you thought he was a good doctor, also know that he treats some patients very, very badly. He is incredibly arrogant and I have to say, why ask me a question if you won't let me even answer? I cannot count the amount of times he would ask me a question, and just as I started speaking he would cut me off. I've spoken to other psychiatrists about him and apparently he is well known for being an arrogant mess and a poor doctor who thinks very highly about himself. Psychiatrists like this can only get work in psychiatric wards where their patients have no option but to see them. This man is a pox upon the world, and I do not say that lightly.

Very compassionate. He understood and empathized with my problems and made me feel like my opinion mattered. I felt heard and respected. He cares a lot about his patients. A great doctor who played an important part in my recovery.

I have never met anyone like Dr. Anderson. Over the course of the last couple years I've seen a lot of psychiatrists, psychologists and counsellors, some of who were incredible and taught me a lot but I've never met anyone that explains things in a way Dr. Anderson does. He is ridiculously smart, cares about his patients and best of all delivers information with humour that makes all this depression stuff so much easier to understand. I've never heard things explained the way he does and he has taught me things in such a short time that have completely shifted my way of thinking. He made all the heavy things in my life seem lighter to take on. He helped me learn that I'm the boss in my own life and I have the power to take on life stuff. Anyone who gets to cross paths with him is one lucky human.
