Many mistakes were made by Nicole during the duration of pregnancy, during birth and postpartum. Thankfully I found an incredible pediatrician and OBGYN soon after to repair me physically and emotionally, after the damage Nicole did. I would not trust her to deliver babies for anyone I know.

Nicole was absolutely wonderful and made my birth experience calm and worry free. I’ve read some of the reviews and cannot understand how they could have such a negative view of her services. I have heard that a former employee of hers is spreading untruths about Nicole so that she could take business away from Nicole. All I know is that I will trust her with all my future births and would recommend her services 100%.

Horrible experience. She will take your money and then try and send you to the hospital for delivery.

Let me first say, based on reviews (under her name Nicole A. young at Vine of Life Midwifery) we were very excited to hire Nicole as our midwife. I have had two babies in the hospital and had very traumatic births, so the thought of a midwife was a wonderful new possibility!

We hired Nicole and paid our deposit and first payment in full at our 12 week visit. Unfortunately, we quickly learned (contrary to our initial understanding of conversations with her) that Nicole was not covered under our insurance and we were not prepared or able to pay out of pocket in full without any reimbursement. Sadly, we had to call and discuss this all with Nicole and as she was unable to work with us financially, we had to terminate our contract. As a business owner myself, I do understand her position.

The hurt came when Nicole has refused to issue a refund for our hundreds of dollars of over payment. We did not seek any of our deposit back, but asked simply for our (nearly thousand dollar) payment to be refunded as we canceled our contract after my 12 week appointment, having only completed the first 2 visits. Nicole also has now neglected to respond to any communication to peacefully resolve this matter.

I do not have any ill wishes for Nicole and I really hate writing negative reviews, but I keep wondering how many people this has happened to, and how many more will be affected if I say nothing, and my heart breaks at the thought.

This is supposed to be such a wonderful time of bringing new life into this world and sadly, Nicole has caused so much hurt, pain and suffering for us.

Please just be so cautious prior to entering into contract and I wish you the best during this beautiful time!

Some people that used to work with her were wonderful, but unfortunately I was deeply dissatisfied with the overall "care" (lack thereof) I received. I'm still processing my experience years later. She is highly unprofessional and unfortunately dishonest.

She is a lies so much, you never know what the truth. I wish she wasn't..... there are so many other great midwives out there. Be careful who you choose

Nicole is not a doctor and shouldn’t be a midwife. She lies to get people to hire her, doesn’t pay her workers, doesn’t sign off on births for her apprentices, is known to leave people in labor and not come back in time or at all for the birth, and does not provide proper postpartum care.

Run far away.

Nicole was hired and paid the entire fee to attend the labor and delivery of my first grandchild. My daughter and son-in-law were first time parents, wanting a home & perhaps water delivery. After notifying Nicole of her labor etc X amount of times, my 8 lb 13 oz granddaughter was delivered by her parents, the placenta in a mixing bowl. A supposed apprentice showed up later & Nicole an hour after that! It’s a miracle my daughter & granddaughter were safe! No midwife, no tub! What a racket! And this seems to be her M.O. After a few short searches, I’ve found several women, and that number is growing, with similar stories-late Nicole, no tub, no follow up visit, paying for her ‘special’ birth kit, and no discussion of services paid for, but not rendered!

Of my six births tended by midwives, Nicole is most knowledgeable, competent and experienced one I have hired. After a couple of bad experiences I am always nervous about finding a good midwife. I am so grateful to have Nicole here in NE Ohio.

Nice person, but doesn't know as much as she portrays. Had a horrible experience and she spent very little time actually helping. She gave up, and we ended up in hospital.
