I went to see all my doctors before a move and Jen was the only one that noticed a lump in my thyroid. She was always very thorough and went over way more than I'd expect from a midwife/gyno. I ended up having thyroid cancer and I'm sure she saved my life or, in the very least, prevented me from having to go through chemo by catching it early.

Jennifer was an outstanding midwife when I had my first baby last month. She is a supportive force of nature, and extremely qualified at her job. I felt very supported the entire time and had the most positive and happy birthing experience I could have asked for. She's capable, talented, and could not recommend her more. She really loves her job and she's fantastic at it.

Jen seems very competent at what she does, but her personality rubs me the wrong way. She is very direct, but it comes off (unintentionally, I'm sure) as condescending. After I had my baby (another midwife on the team delivered, but she did my 24-hour check), she was talking to me about breastfeeding and I said, "How do I know if I have cracked nipples?" to which she responded, "Oh, you'll know...trust me," and nothing else. Turns out, I didn't know. After a horrific month of painful breastfeeding, I saw an LC who said I had terribly cracked nipples. I had no idea because everyone said it would hurt, so I didn't think anything was wrong; also the term "cracked and bleeding nipples" is always used as if the two go together, but mine never bled. I wish Jen could have better explained to me what to expect, especially after I asked her directly.
