Rae Andrews is an amazing midwife, who allowed me to labor with my first child when other doctors would have intervened. Her information is state-of-the art and she is a warm, caring person who is interested in top outcomes for mother and baby.

Rae Andrews is probably the most condescending doctor I ever had. I GREATLY regret choosing to go to her as my midwife. She degrades me as a mother due to my depression and has threatened to call the authorities on me for not wanting counseling. Ive been pregnant once before and and my previous midwife never hounded me about my depression the way rae does. Rae is trying to convince me to potentially harm my child by taking anti depressants when I made it clear I have a great support system through my family aND it is suggested for the safety of the childs brain development to NOT take anti depressants . I went through one pregnancy without medication, I will do it for my next child as well. I almost feel like I made a huge mistake being honest about having depression because every visit she asks if I'm feeling homicidal or suicidal. I answer no, and she ALWAYS brings up Andrea Yates and how she drowned her children and how "oh Andrea thought she wasn't homicidal and she drowned her five children". It's so degrading. I feel like cap every time I go in and now I gotta walk on egg shells because she's threatened to call the authorities and implied my kids could be taken just cause of my depression when my children ARE NOT in danger. If you're considering this woman for a midwife, go somewhere else!!! You'll regret her. I'd rather just have my baby in a bath tub at this point than have her deliver my child.
