I have never felt so insulted at a dr appointment. My 2nd and last visit. I was made to feel atupid and was not listened to. Terrible people skills. I won't be back.

This doctor is extremely rude and pushy. At first I was making excuses for her but this is ridiculous. I am reporting after a 2nd visit with her. She was not open to listening. i kept trying to explain the pain I was having and different things going on post-surgery (two year ago). She kept cutting me off and basically deducing it to just needing to change my diet. Well turns out OB/GYN listened and referred me for a scan and I have a large mass. Looks like I'm not just fat after all Dr. Sophia. I will not be stupid enough to go to her a 3rd time. A doctor who doesn't take time to listen, ask questions and rudely yells is not worth my time or co-pay. Beware!

I have left several voicemails with her office because they do not answer their phones, and they have not returned any calls. She told me to "use my head" when I said I stopped taking my medicine since I had been on it for sometime, and didn't feel it was healthy for my body. She laughed at me and asked what I was studying in college, because she could not get over me not continuing my meds. I felt like I was in a dream. I would never suggest anyone to go to her, and she is difficult to understand and only wanted to put me on more meds. She did not listen to my wants and needs.

She tends to blow off legitimate concerns (ie. heart issues) and focus on things that are not a concern to you. Sometimes difficult to get a referral from her for a specialist.

My family had gone to Dr. Sophia for over 10 years. She is blunt but that's what I liked about her. We followed her when she changed practices, even. Well, never again! Her office staff is horrible. It's one thing for the Dr. to be blunt but I expect the receptionist to have better customer service. I have never been treated so poorly and will never go back. When I told Dr. Sophia about how her staff had treated me she blew me off and made me feel like she approved of the way her patients were talked to/treated by her support staff. I was blown away and so was her nurse. The nurse kept apologizing and even hugged me on my way out. It's a shame, too.. because I sent everyone I knew to her, as well. Never again!

If you are a new patient to the area. Avoid this practice! They do not care about you as an individual. You will be treated like cattle, disrespected openly by the office staff and dismissed because the next sucker is waiting in the lobby.

I had been seeing Dr Sophia for about 5 years. I had been unhappy with her multiple times but kept giving her 2nd chances. She is blunt but what bothered me is that she only hears what she wants. She will ignore something that is bothering me and focus on other things that aren't what I made the appointment for. She also said a lump on my grandmas breast was nothing. Almost a year later it was found to be breast cancer! I do not recommend you to trust her with your health. Her nurse Jennifer is amazing. If she had her practitioners license, I would stay. Dr. Sophia is just too closed minded to give good care.

I have went to see Dr. Sophia for years. She is tough, but she is one of the best doctors I have ever been to. She is blunt, but she also has a relationship with her long time patients and she knows you. Her nurse Jen is one of the best in the field. She is highly recommended from me. Yes I know I won't receive a sucker when I leave, but I leave satisfied with the visit.

I recently moved from another state with my husband and three small children. I went for several issues, but the biggest one, which could be life-threatening, she has continually blown me and my concerns off. I also had a terrible time trying to get test results from her. She was very rude every time I saw her. NO bedside manner! I do NOT recommend.

I've been a patient of Dr. Sophia for over three years now and she is excellent. She is on time, knowledgable, thorough, takes her time with you (doesn't just brush you off or see you as another appointment to get through) and factual, because she does care. Other reviews say she is blunt, well, she is straight forward and truthfull. Isn't that what we want, the truth about our medical situation. She was very concerned about a family situation that was impacting more than just me and coached/guided me well. She is not a surgeon deliverying bad news, she is a physician working with you so that you do the right thing. Love her!!!
