Awesome experience with Dr Karolina Varnay!

I broke my 5th metatarsal several weeks ago. I went in to see Dr Varnay and was given the option for surgery or to test and see if it would heal on its own. The bone was twisted and out of place but there was a possibility of it healing on its own but Dr Varnay suggested surgery to make sure the bone attached together and healed properly.

Nervously, I decided to take her advice and opted for the surgery. This was my first surgery and I think she could tell that I was very nervous to go under the knife, even though this was a very common and low risk procedure. Dr Varnay spent a lot of time with me explaining what would happen and the potential, albeit low, risks involved with the procedure. Dr Varnay made sure to address all of my fears and her bedside manner was awesome. I think the whole office staff could tell I was pretty nervous about surgery because everyone there was very friendly and reassuring.

On my day of the operation, Dr Varnay made sure to come in to the prep room and make sure that I was still okay because I was the most nervous that day. The surgery went very well and I'm back on my feet again doing physical therapy to get the muscles back in shape.

Dr Varnay spent a lot of time with me describing the procedure, providing me options, and explaining how I would feel afterwards. She took very good care of me and intently listened to me as a patient. I could tell she genuinely cared about me as a patient of hers and not just a number with the attentiveness she gave me. I highly recommend Dr Varnay for any of your foot needs!!!

Dr. Varnay took about 20 seconds to tell me I had peripheral nueropathy. Very short with examination and answers. Told me to put capsasin on the bottom of my feet, and let the staff to write the one word. Capsasin is what they put in mace! It's to be put on four times a day and it really burns and does nothing. She asked if I was going to see My primary Dr soon.I said no, and she scheduled another appointment.Peripheral nueropathy is extemely painful and numb on the bottom of your feet.I went to my Dr. and the PA prescribed gabapentin. It works great and takes care of my pain. Do not go to this Dr. They just want your money and could care less about your problems.I'm done with there strewn out tactic's.Go to your primary Dr. first.

I have had both ankles operated on by Dr. Varnay and both times she exceeded my expectation. She is patient and willing to educate her clients. She is a welcomed addition to Denver medical community and is not in a rush to get you in and out of her office.

Dr. Varnay is the best I’ve seen in Santa Fe, and let me tell you...I've been to almost everyone. She explained everything so I could understand, and provided me with options so I felt as if we were partnering together in regards to my care. Highly recommended!
