My experience with Dr. Ryan Funk was excellent. He has a calm and encouraging demeanor that was very helpful throughout my fertility journey. He was knowledgeable and able to answer all of my questions and explain what was going on and the best course of action moving forward. I highly recommend him for treatment, especially if you are going through IVF!

After several years of trying to conceive we began our fertility treatment journey with Olive fertility. I started to see Dr.Ryan Funk for laser and traditional acupuncture treatments to improve our chances. I could not be more grateful for the guidance and knowledge he shared with me in addition to the wonderful treatments. Working with Dr.Funk was worth every single penny. I had a successful first round of IVF with some very healthy eggs. I am deeply grateful for Ryan’s expertise, support and kindness.

After two years of trying to conceive, we decided to proceed with IVF/IUI. After 1 failed IUI, we move straight to IVF. This was when the pandemic started and a friend of mine recommended me to Dr. Funk and that I add acupuncture to improve the chances. I had an initial zoom meeting with Dr. Funk and through that conversation, I realized how much I DO NOT know about myself (my daily routine, exercise, diet, etc). Since then, I have made significant changes to my lifestyle as well as my diet. Dr. Funk is a great listener and counsellor where he provides professional knowledge and guidance which has greatly improved my mental and physical well being especially going through this tough journey. I am happy to say that after one failed fresh transfer, I am now pregnant! Besides luck, I believe it has everything to do with my acupuncture appointments with Dr. Funk. I feel relaxed physically and mentally after each session. During my first trimester, I would feel nauseous and dread to drive there but after each session, I feel refreshed and energized. I would strongly recommend Dr. Funk to anyone trying to conceive and experiencing infertility.

After 5 failed IUIs I was started to loose hope. I decided to move on with IVF and add acupuncture to my routine. Dr. Ryan Funk was an amazing support system during this time. He not only helped with my fertility but my overall well being. I am happy to say I am pregnant after my IVF cycle and I honestly think he made a huge difference in my fertility journey. He is very knowledgable and has great advice on maintaining a healthy pregnancy. During my first trimester I was exhausted and suffering from morning sickness and when I would arrive for my appointment I would always feel cranky and exhausted - after a session with Ryan I would feel very refreshed and optimistic about the process. I would highly recommend Dr. Ryan for anyone struggling with infertility.

I started seeing Ryan for acupuncture about 2 months before my frozen embryo transfer. He was recommended from a friend who had a great experience with him. Before and after the embryo transfer, Ryan was very supportive and always took the time to contact me during important days (i.e. transfer date, blood tests, ultrasounds). The IVF process is stressful, so it was nice to see Ryan on a regular basis and have him be a positive voice of reason throughout the process. I would recommend seeing Ryan as a support to your fertility journey!

Me and my husband have been trying to get pregnant for over a year and finally decided we should get some help. This is when my friend referred me to Accubalance and where we met Dr. Ryan for acupuncture appointments. I can’t thank Dr. Ryan enough for his care, he’s been extremely friendly and helpful and encouraging throughout the whole process. I felt really comfortable sharing everything with him and he would always follow up to see how we’re doing even though we stopped going for a bit due to fertility tests. He’s amazing at what he does and he was definitely one of the first people I was so excited to tell when I got a positive pregnancy test! Thank you Dr. Ryan :)

I am so grateful to have found Dr. Funk. He and his staff have been unbelievably helpful and supportive. Dr. Funk filled the gap that I was looking for while undergoing fertility treatments. He did an assessment based on diet, exercise, mental health and more and provided evidence based research on how to optimize my fertility treatments. He is extremely knowledgeable and supportive. I had a lot of anxiety while going through treatments and joked that not only was he my acupuncturist but he was my therapist too! He gave me great strategies on how manage my mental well-being so that I would be more positive and relaxed. He also checked in on treatment days to wish me luck and I truly felt I had a cheerleader by my side. He is caring, knowledgable and an absolute professional. I absolutely recommend him.

After two failed IVF frozen embryo transfers that left our doctor at Olive puzzled and presenting the idea of potential diagnostic surgery my husband and I decided try one more frozen transfer. We wanted to truly optimize our last attempt so after encouragement from friends I found Dr. Funk and added acupuncture to my optimization plan leading up to our third frozen transfer. I had had a previous negative experience with acupuncture so I was hesitant at first; however, this was the best decision we could have made! Dr. Funk not only provided acupuncture treatment, but also served as a fertility guide offering tons of recommendations. Without a doubt he is also one of the most caring and thoughtful medical professionals I have ever had. The day of every critical event such as the embryo transfer and beta blood test result Dr. Funk would email the most supportive messages. Now 13 weeks pregnant I am so thankful I found Dr. Funk! I would highly recommend him to everyone and especially those who are struggling through fertility issues in need to direction.

Ryan has helped with so many aspects of my health, from fertility, to hormonal balance. I want to Thank Ryan for the peace and calm provided during the hour session. My husband and I were able to conceive after 2 years with the help of the team at Acubalance.
