He became my doctor when my doctor moved to Toronto from Kenderdine Clinic. I found him to be different from previous doctors and quite thorough. He treats me, an older patient, with respect and explains thing to me as a somewhat equal. He has a good sense of humour and I trust his opinion.

Dr Sander is a S.G.I " medical Consultant", which means he is employed by them. What he does for them in major volume, is write false corrupt opinions that favor S.G.I instead of for injured Saskatchewan residents, who have paid their insurance and deserve full injury benefits, instead this guy gets your file and sides with his employer. This is a very lucrative business for Ryan Sander, his yearly income is matched almost equally with what S.G.I pays him to write bogus one sided opinions, which results in a "negative" consultant review instead of human dignity and proper medical reviewing of your complete S.G.I medical file. Please don't support corrupt doctors who live the
"high life" alongside S.G.I.

His staff is actually really great, the office is clean and well-maintained. He is normally on time or at the very most only a few minutes late (you can't expect schedules to be 100% exact). He is actually very knowledgeable, and a really smart guy. What he is not good at is being helpful. I've told him about issues that I have had and he scoffs or says "I'm not convinced that anything is really going on." It feels like instead of him listening to me and giving me patient-centred care, he is trying to dismiss what I have to say. He diagnosed me with a minor ailment and then when I made an appointment to follow-up with him he asked me who had diagnosed me with that disease. Lots of his therapy suggestions that I have received have been very deviant from the standard practice guidelines. I have had better care with a warmer experience from some really great walk-in doctors. So most of my healthcare has been from walk-in clinics since I don't see any point in going to him.

I’ve been a patient of his for almost 10 years and not once has he been on time for an appointment. I’ve waited up to an hour. Absolutely no regard for my time. I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and asked for some anti anxiety medication to help me through and was told to try talk therapy. (I already see a physiologist and genwould have known that if he asked) it if he spend more then 5 minutes in any appointment. Disappointing

Spends most of his time looking at his computer screen instead of listening to a patient’s complaint. He is often late but heaven forbid if you are 4 minutes late!!! He made me reschedule a physical ... only had time to check my ears and lungs when we’re only 10 minutes into a 45 minute scheduled appointment. I left and never went back !

Agree with all the ratings. Refers to specialist for everything! I sat in his office for 40 min, he finally came in, rushed. I had a list of 4 things (I was booked for myself and my daughter). He got to my third issue (they were all quick referral things, yep!) and he said, “ ok we have to start your daughter now because we don’t have time.” I looked at him and then he said, “ oh you had four things? “. Will see walk in doctors from now on, bummer tho as I like broadway clinic.

I have no problems with a doctor referring me to a specialist. Ive had doctor's in the past that were reluctant to send me to specialist for a second opinion.

He is great to refer to other specialists, delegates his doctoring to others, he’s a referral guy.
Nice enough demeanour however, this guy is in the business of doctoring first, not the profession of it!, big difference between the two!

Been seeing Dr. Sander for about six years. I agree with the comment below from June 1, 2017: Started off good but has been getting worse in certain ways since then. Also the Jan 21, 2016 comment: great if you're generally healthy, but . . . he is never on time, frequently forgets what you're there for, is always rushed and quick to conclusions. He did correctly spot a thyroid nodule three years ago and followed up on ultrasounds and specialist referrals, which led to my thyroid eventually being removed. Unless he has flagged something as important for himself, I suspect he tends to just go through the formalities. I once booked a half hour for a general physical, had ten questions written down, waited 45 minutes AFTER waiting in the waiting area a half hour, and within five minutes his hand was on the door anxious to leave me. I had to protest that I still had unanswered questions, most of which he dismissed as not important. So if you can stand your ground and advocate for yourself and get his attention, he's OK. Otherwise, I'd advise looking for someone more sympathetic.
