I am only giving him One star because there is no Zero star. I was referred to Dr. Friedman by St. Lukes Occ Health for a strained back muscle suffered at work. On the first of two visits, he seemed reasonably competent in his examination and expressed confidence in his ability to help me. On my second (and last) appointment, I was only marginally better and was looking forward to the next step. He didn't focus on my injury at all and instead rambled on about unrelated persons and topics. This time he did not exam me at all instead basing his judgments solely on a barely legible physical therapist's report. Then he declared that I didn't need any further therapy or other treatments. He told me to continue home stretching exercises and come back in 8 weeks. I was dumbfounded and needless to say, that was the last appointment that I would have with him. I applied to the Idaho Industrial Commission and after a hearing was granted a change of doctor. My advice is to steer clear of him!

He makes up his minde before he sees you. His staff is rude. He does what ever the person paying says to do. He does not stand up for the patient needs. He will also lie to your face and change his story. His month long rehabilitation clinic he heads up is a complete joke and the staff it is running it is there for a paycheck and not for the patients. He is a harm to his clients by just lying to them .

Very nice man, very helpful and understanding, there was a big wait to see him, but that's the only complaint I can come up with.

Rating him a 3 is a disservice - He is VERY on-top of his field, his analysis and his manner. Knows how to tease important info from patients, explain options and let the patient decide!! - his staff is a joy during a visit.

Takes my pain seriously, saw me on a Saturday and also took care of a prescription for me on a Saturday. He is kind and compassionate and isn't afraid to treat my chronic pain with opioids like so many other doctors.
