I had visited Dr. Kostirko for many years! When he adopted me as a patient I was so scared of dentists to the point where I would clench the chair as soon as a tool would get into my mouth causing Dr. Kostirko concern he was hurting me! He wasn’t and never had he caused me pain! He is very gentle kind and patient with me. He really loves his job and what he does and it shows not only in his workmanship and his concern when he knows you’re not doing your part taking care of your teeth! I would recommend him to anyone looking for a new dentist! Unfortunately I have moved and no longer see him as a patient! I hope he and his team are well!

I was seen by Dr. Ulyana Romanyuk and got the greatest service.
She is very detailed and thorough dentist I ever seen. She performed a detailed exam for me and gave me a nice treatment plan and advise. I am very pleased with the fast and efficient service. Feelings were done very fast and the dental needle did not hurt at all.

Caring, professional service. My daughter was scared of having her first needle for a filling, but Dr. Kostirko was gentle, kind, and listened to her concerns. My family and I have been patients at Bloor West Smiles for over 20 years, and they have an amazing team that work hard to make my dental visits as stress free as possible.

I did teeth cleaning/exam. My experience was disappointing. Olga, the hygienist wanted to do 4 x-rays based on a complaint about sensitive teeth. She did not check my teeth prior to doing x-rays or alert the dentist to determine whether the x-rays were needed which was not cost effective. There was no review of the x-rays nor further feedback about my complaints. I also paid an extra $70 for a comprehensive exam. Again, there was no review. I complained and was reimbursed. I expected feedback. No news is good news is inappropriate.

I asked whether I needed a crown. Dr Kostirko barely examined the tooth and immediately said he could replace it with a filling. Pros and cons were not discussed. Only comment is a filling was cheaper than a crown. I did not feel confident with his quick assessment to proceed.

My hygienist’s assistant was not available to write down the readings for my comprehensive exam. I observed her stress. It was time consuming which likely contributed to oversights in my treatment.

I asked the hygienist how many years the filling would last over doing a crown expecting her to ask Dr. Kostirko instead she said it would last a long time. She offered a vague answer over enquiring with the dentist was unprofessional.

The five star google reviews for this clinic led me to believe I would have an outstanding experience. Trust and confidence was not established. I would not recommend the clinic based on my experience.

The five star aspect of the clinic was Luisa, the office manager. She is both a skilled listener and communicator. She appreciated the feedback and her interest to resolve compaints were sincere.

Dr. Kostirko did an amazing job with bonding on my 6 front teeth . Other dentists told me i needed veneers but he was able to do the bonding at a fraction of the cost . The teeth look beautiful and the color and shape is a continous flow and match with my remaining teeth. You know he is a good honest and experienced dentist because he listened and understood what i wanted and could afford.

Dr Alexandre Kostirko is the best dentist we have ever visited. He does amazing work and is very patient. From fillings all the way to root canals ... he has always completed great work. You do not feel any pain and the results are always outstanding. We as a family would refer Dr Alexandre Kostirko to any patient looking for a great dentist. The Perry Family.

Dr kostiriko has been my regular dentist for over 20 years. He can do in 15 minutes what takes other dentists 45 minutes and the work will still be better quality, better looking and last longer. Very clean and professional hygienist who is also very good at her job. I wouldn't trade them for anything.

Dr. Kostirko took over the practice (in Scarborough) when my previous dentist retired over 20 years ago. When he moved his office west, I did not hesitate to follow him there. It is not often that you hear the words "I love my dentist!" but it is a phrase I use. Dr. Kostirko is a gentle and kind professional. He stays current to all new procedures and takes time to explain. I am 100% satisfied with his work and do not hesitate to recommend him as a wonderful dentist.
The hygenists and staff at the office are friendly and courtious. My visits to the dental office of Dr. Alexandre Kostirko are always pleasant.

have been a patient of Dr. Kostirko at Bloor West Smiles for over 15 years. Under his exceptional care and with the support of his outstanding staff I have been able to regain and maintain my dental health.

At the end of the day, choosing a health care professional for me mainly comes down to two major qualities: a highly caring passion for patient comfort and trust. Both are influenced by exceptional skill and experience, and over the 15 years of being his patient I have come to trust Dr. Kostirko 110%.

I am not exactly the easiest patient to work with and my anxiety has in the past resulted in missed regular dental checkups leading to some serious problems. Fortunately, a friend recommended that I see Dr. Kostirko, his dentist. I was immediately impressed with Dr. Kostirko's understanding and patience with me. Other dentists were not a compassionate and I felt like I was being a burden to them.

Over time, I have come to recognize and fully appreciate his superior dental skills and experience, they are unquestionable in my mind. Dr. Kostirko is extremely knowledgeable about modern dental practice and emerging trends in dentistry, he continually upgrades his professional credentials and it is very reassuring to know that as a patient.

A great support team makes a difference. The dedicated staff members at Bloor West Smiles make sure that I'm very well looked after both during and in-between visits. There is always a friendly face to greet me and extend a warm smile and kind hospitality during my visits to help me prepare and get comfortable. The staff also seamlessly assist me when it come to scheduling and reminding me of pending appointments in addition submitting my dental claims for me.

I am truly grateful to Dr. Kostirko and his dedicated team, it's most reassuring having them in my corner for all my dental needs. I count myself fortunate to be a patient at Bloor West Smiles dental!
