The best doctor I have ever taken my kids to see! Sad to see shes leaving but happy to see she is getting married

Moved from virgina with my two sons, oldest 20 months and youngest 4 months at the time of my appointment. I had an amazing doctor back in virgina and was very skeptical of a new one. After the routine questions for a 4 month old she started freaking out saying my son was too old for a rubella vaccine and he should have had it and started bad talking my previous doctor for not giving it to him. She said it wasn't listed as one of his vaccines he gave either. After the appointment I looked up the immunization schedule and founf out MMR is the rubella vaccine, which was listed on my previous doctors sheet, and that it is given around 12-15 months. I'm never going to see her again. She seemed to be of good heart but doesn't seem to be knowledgeable in her field of work.

Athough Dr. Gatewood was nice, she gave me advice that could potentially be fatal to my baby. I have a 10 month old who twice over the weekend had a mild allergic reaction to nuts, not by eating them, but by me handling them and touching his skin. I have alot of experience with allergies so I knew to give him a bath and called doctor on monday, they never called back, so today, WED, I called and they told me the doctors advice was to LIMIT his nut intake INCLUDING PEANUT BUTTER until his appointment MAY 24 it is now April 4th. So basically they won't see him for 2 months, didn't give me an EPI Pen, and it's ok for him to eat "small amounts of nuts until then". Really!!!!! Evem breathing in dust from nuts can kill a person with an allergy very quickly. I called my doctor who told me what I already knew, that an INFANT with a possible nut allergy is very serious and needs to be seen asap, she is seeing him at 10am tomorrow morning, and also Don't eat nuts in the mean time!
