I saw this excuse for a human several years ago when I was in university after suffering horrible trauma at the hands of multiple people. Because what was done to me was so horrible and so many were involved he chose not to believe me. He wrote me a prescription for Klonopin and wrote in my file that I imagined my trauma. What a piece of work! Luckily, I am smart and never went back. I brought my family with me and that made him angry because he couldn't manipulate me freely. Luckily, later I was correctly diagnosed with PTSD and told I don't need medication but rather healing. This quack could have ruined my life. I feel for all the souls whose lives he ruined. Karma will punish him. He needs a taste of his own medicine literally. I encourage you to dump him and file a complaint if you feel he's prescribing the wrong medicine. As a patient you have rights. He's not God. If you're a traumatized woman there are way better resources out there. For starters WAVAW.... And it's free. They understand. Don't see Koritar even his name sounds evil.

Stay far far away. The man quite literally destroyed my life because of his lack of knowledge about psych drugs. Zero knowledge of benzodiazepines. I became housebound & bed bound for 10 years after seeing this doctor. Myriad health problems ensued and it turned out it was all caused by the tiny pill I took before bed that he told me was safe. I’m still recovering and have a long way to go. Brain and central nervous system damage all caused by Clonazepam prescribed by Dr Koritar. Do your research before taking anything!!

Please stay as far away as possible from this man & his Rx pad. Recklessly prescribes and has zero knowledge of psych drugs. I saw him for roughly five years.

Had him has my pychiatrist in Montreal, quebec, for a about 4 years, he was kind and helpful. Although he prescibed Hacion to me once, which led to me having Hallucinations. but other wise he was an ok Dr. Gave me lots of good advice, and was always ready to listen to me. Never made me wait. Over a good Pyschiatrist.

A quack. Consulted him while he was based in Montreal. Some years later I read his "diagnosis". This guy is a quack in the literal sense of the word.

Psychotherapy-based approach. Saw him for six years, and it was without question the most rewarding relationship in my life, until I met my wife -- which wouldn't have been possible without his help. He changed my life beyond my ability to describe. His approach to meds, for me, was "let's get you off of them". Pretty much always called me on my b.s. I strongly recommend him.

I have a therapist, so this doc is supposed to help with meds, but I find he offers little 'psychotherapeutic' empathy. Moderately up to date on new SSRIs etc. Quick to prescribe

Sir William Ostler said, Listen to the patient; he will tell you the diagnosis. In psychiatry, the correct diagnosis gives the treatment that gives the cure. It's hard to listen when one's ears are stuffed with arrogance. Can't say I'm cured. Maybe I'm worse?
