This doctor should be rated -100. My husband who is 85 years old, has covid and MS, called to request a prescription for Paxlovid and she refused to give it to him. Along with covid, he is now unable to walk. She said that the mobiliity has nothing to do with covid which we understand but we wanted to minimize the effects of covid. If this is your doctor, change to at least a walk-in clinic because she only wants to make money.

Dismissive, patronizing, impatient, and has zero interest in actually finding out what the problem is. Would not let me describe my symptoms before jumping to her own conclusion. When I corrected her assumption, she told me she was the doctor and if I thought I knew more than her, I should find another physician. I’ve had hairdressers listen to me more carefully and for longer. Terrible, terrible GP. I will be going elsewhere.

I have seen Dr. Guindy for many years starting when she first worked out of the Assiniboine clinic. First off the assistants aren’t great. During covid the clinic was awful. I like that there is a lab/ekg and cxr which makes it nice but always long waits. Dr. Guindy I feels wants nothing to do with mental health concerns and though I don’t have any in the past it was brushed over. Very little empathy during difficult times. Does rush during appointments and I have waited over 1.5 hours for a booked appointment. Her referrals to specialists I feel never happen. I waited 3+ years for a dermatology appointment and ended up self referring that took 1 year to the same doctor. I have waited over 1 year and have not heard about another referral appointment and am the one who has to check about it. She is out of date with screening. I enjoyed Dr. Guindy at her old clinic but she has for sure changed.

I have had Dr.Guindy as my family doctor for over 5 years. Every appt is rushed and I leave flustered and upset. I went in for my annual physical and advised her of my gynaecology concerns and lower abdominal pain. She told me she would prescribe me an oral medication and asked if I was still breastfeeding. I said yes I am. She stated that I shouldn’t be breastfeeding anymore as my child is too old (19 months) and that I need to stop and asked me what my child’s paediatrician thought about this. Is she kidding me? The recommendation from The World Health Organization and UNICEF is to breastfeed to at least 2 years of age. Her old world thinking is hurting people. She needs to be re-educated or lose her license. She then went on to blame all my concerns (migraine related, and family history of brain aneurysms) on the fact that I’m “a VERY anxious person and once I’m on medication for a month for those anxieties I will no longer have headaches”. I will be looking for another family doctor.

I had a Female Dr for over 30 yrs who I saw mainly once a year for a checkup - she retires during Covid- I was told Dr Guindy was good- this is the worst care I have ever received! It’s all about the money and nothing about the patient. She doesn’t listen to you- she doesn’t even go over lab work results and she has no idea about your history even though it’s right in your file! I would NEVER recommend this woman to be anyones Dr. An annual “physical appointment” took ten minutes - in and out - nothing good to say about this woman.! Nothing at all

NEVER HAVE I WAITED OVER 2 HOURS OF MY LIFE FOR A 3 MINUTE PHYSICAL AND 2 MINUTE LAB WORK!!!! She doesn't stop to listen to you. Pushes meds, very ruff and quick. Didn't even have time to think!!!

We are looking for a new doctor. If you are looking for lots of prescriptions and frequently just told to double the dose if one does not work. I think if one went into the office with a broken arm and leg, however, only told her about the arm, she would ignore the leg completely. She often recommends that we see another doctor in the clinic (who I think is her husband) for procedures that should be done by a specialist. Do not go to her - only as a last resort!

I saw Dr Guindy for about 5 years and I hope to never see her again. She jumps to conclusions and is in a rush to dismiss you. She admitted that she is lazy When my feet were swollen she replied that it was only my perception and no other comment. When a dedicated health care professional contacted her to suggest a much needed MRI for me when I had cancer, she put her down. Over time, I became intimidated by Dr Guindy and lost all confidence in her.

Dr. Guindy is the reason I literally have not seen a family doctor in over 7 years. I went to her at a particularly low point after the deaths of several important people in my life. I attempted to treat myself but became so despondent that I was afraid of completing suicide. She told me to take the day off work. Not even joking. I only see walk in doctors now for basic prescriptions. I don’t trust any doctors anymore. Too bad because I feel very unwell and could really use some medical help.
