Awful Dr. Lied to me, as UAB often does and told me I didn't need anything, but when saw an excellent Dr, outside of UAB, they did an MRI, which Meyer refused to do, and it showed I needed surgery! UAB doctors I saw, over 10 months of time, were ALL negligent and inexperienced! So, after 10 months of pain, finally got surgery I badly needed!

Absolutely THE worst Dr ever. Very condescending and unsupportive physician that I have ever encountered. I can honestly with total honesty say he is just a BAD person. I had a fall at Work at UAB. He treated me like I was insignificant and less than a person. THE WoRST doctor THE worst human that I have ever encountered. He needs to be FIRED. He can go live a life of solitude on his private island that is reached in his private plane with the money he receives from UAB for abusing patients

Rude
Horrible bed side manner,
He spent less then five minutes with me
discussing my case and after telling me that he doesn’t know what’s causing my pain and doesn’t know what’s wrong with me
He wanted to do injections without doing further testing and discussing my other options

Then he proceeded to talk into his microphone about my case like I didn’t exist in the examining room And walked without saying a word to me

I waited over a year for a SPECIALIST from the VA to get answers and i was treated like another case file and swept under the rug

Very Impressed. He went right to the exact spot of the Pain. Showed me things about the problems that I was having that know other doctor had been able to show me. I was not even aware that two of my fingers were numb alot of the time due to the pressure it was putting on the nerves in my neck.

I had partial shoulder replacement surgery with Meyer after two prior arthroscopic surgeries failed to relieve my pain. Meyer never bothered to visit me in the hospital after surgery and scheduled one follow-up visit where he threw my arm in the air and said "you look fine to me" after complaining that the pain was much worse after surgery. Went back to him a couple of years later when the pain was unbearable and he said "well, it lasted a couple of years at least" but he would only answer questions that I asked to my wife?! The worst bedside manner I have ever experienced (didn't act like he cared at all about my pain, in fact he never mentions my pain in any of the patient records I have received from him) and to this day I remain in chronic pain.
