An Excellent down to earth doctor who treated me with empathy.

"Terrible experience with this doctor, no compassion and awful bedside manner. I recently (and grudgingly) attended to the Emergency Department at Pembroke Regional Hospital (PRH) on the morning of Saturday, June 18th for unresolving lower leg swelling, pain & discomfort (I have a history of blood clots). My GP had sent me for a rush ultrasound on the 17th but I did not hear back from him and had concerns about further blood clots. I was seen at PRH Emerg by Dr. Tatiana Jilkina who proceeded to reprimand me for taking up very valuable staff time for my 'minor' issue (she was able to obtain a copy of the ultrasound report – it was thankfully not a blood clot). She mentioned the current health crisis and that I needn’t have been there; she also said my family doctor should have called me and that he could address this matter. I was extremely upset when I left – to the point of tears. I routinely hesitate to go to the ER at any given time unless I’m extremely ill. Dr Jilkina’s rudeness to me was unwarranted, extremely unprofessional and completely out of line for someone in the health care industry."

This Doctor is awesome.I am older and people usually dismiss us.She took time to explain panic attack and how I could help my self next time it happened .

Have had several experiences with this doctor. Once she actually did something for a bone infection, but in another occasion she sent the patient home with serious complications resulting from Cancer and said “Go home it’s nothing, call an ambulance if it gets worse.” She died, not from the cancer.Second time went home during the holidays and told “Why are you bothering us here? Take a pill. Go see your own doctor!” and didn’t even look over the patient. Obviously we wouldn’t be at emergency if we could see our doctor and if it wasn’t something that couldn’t wait. Get a life and stop tying others.

This physician is beyond the day she should have retired. She makes snap poor decisions on her patients when the come in through the emergency room doors and either orders an array of pointless (expensive) tests with no medical rationale behind them, or she simply dismisses everything you say and kicks you to the curb. She hates being questioned or challenged and is vicious when people continue to question her. She is arrogant and self-absorbed, I would rather drag my dying body out to the parking lot than have her treat me.

amazing doctor! she saved my life yesterday - in opposite to walk-in doctor (whose prescriptions was almost killing me for the past few days), she carefully listened to my medical history, and made all tests and provided really emergency services right away so I walked out of QCH in couple of hours being able to breath fully, however, at a time of visiting QCH I lost my trust to doctors, and was ready to die just because of pneumonia attack. Dr. Tatiana immediately catched the problem, she is highly ranked professional - I was very lucky having her as my emergency doctor yesterday! I wish to have her as my family doctor - agree with comment below.

I had Dr. Jilkina see me at the emergency not too long ago and I must say she is probably one of the best doctors that I have ever had. She was very helpful, straight to the point and did not hesitate to take the necessary tests for me. She also was very clear about what I seemed to have and put it in words that actually made sense to me. I would definitely recommend her.

This physician is amazing and very helpful. Although she is not my primary doctor, she has been extremely thorough whenever I would see her in emergency (which was frequently as I was suffering with gallstone attacks and didn't know/couldn't distiguish it). She would order tests immediately unlike some of the other emergency doctors I dealt with - no hesitation. She always takes the time to explain her findings and answer any questions. She has a sense of humour and excellent manners. She goes above and beyond and that's so important. I wish Dr. Jilkina was my family doctor. She is very confident and professional. I would recommend her to anyone I know. Keep up the good work!!!
