Receptionist is horrible, but the doctor is even worse. Someone should take her license away.

I saw her originally for my high blood pressure. I saw her for about 7 years. She never once took my blood pressure. Just prescribed medication. She never touched my body to check my health. The receptionist was rude and dismissive then a new one after Covid seemed to be of low iq. Always challenging to speak with. This Dr agreeed to complete my disabilty claim forms.which I paid for. Then when CRA asked for more information she droppped the ball. Messing up my claim. Now I have to start all over again. Heartless woman. She does not care about hurting a disabled persons life. Then I call to make an appointment for my blood pressure medication and I am told I’ve been cancelled. All my medical history is in her possession from my other dr of 20 years and she refuses to release it to me. Basically a heartless and mean human being.

Have been with here since 2015 and never felt well cared for. Every time we saw her to talk about back pain or even pregnancy issues, we were told "You are young and healthy. You should go for a walk and this will help you...". Every time. Now, in 2021 when we needed to talk to her about pregnancy issues, we were told that our account was cancelled. We "re-opened it by phone" and we were told that she would see/help us. We called 7 times already to book appointments or schedule call backs and this was a dead end. I am fed up with it and moving to someone else.

I have been seeing her all throughout my teenage years and now into adulthood. First of all, nearly every appointment for the past decade have me waiting up to a 1-1.5 hours in the wait room. Throughout our time together, I’ve been regularly reporting to her about an anxiety problem which has steadily gotten worse and worse, to the point that I told her I was having intrusive thoughts about jumping into traffic around my period. She told me to “treat myself like a princess and eat some ice cream.” I have been hounding her for a psychiatrist referral since November. After weeks of silence, she finally told me to go to a public health center. Early Feb, they told me I could get a referral to a specialist with the help of my doctor. It has now been over 2 months and she STILL hasn’t given me this referral despite the fact that I’ve called her clinic 3-4 times and emailed several times as well. Every time, she answers with confusion as if we are on totally different pages. To make matters worse, my mom broke down in tears yesterday and told me she’s been dealing with chest pain since 2018 that Dr Jayaraman has dismissed as completely. I swear, if my moms health ends up threatened because of her negligence... just find a different doctor if you can.

Like previous reviewers, when I moved to Vancouver I needed a new physician, and Dr. Jayaraman was taking patients - which should be a warning flag to all. My experience has not been good. For women, recommend looking elsewhere, as pap smear equipment seems cheap, the experience incredibly painful, and I had to return for a second exam after results were questioned by the lab. Equally concerning, Dr. Jayaraman cancelled my patient account after I changed my phone number (just before Covid lockdown) and forgot to notify her office. Since she was unable to reach me, my file was closed, and I was refused a new appointment. I will be better off going to walk in clinics as I search for a new doctor.

When I moved to Vancouver she was one of the few doctors taking new patients. Her knowledge base is very limited and/or out-of-date. She prescribed me a medication for stomach pain that when I brought to the pharmacy was told it was a med that has been discontinued for years and the pharmacist was very puzzled how she could not know this. She is probably the most condescending and insensitive doctors I've ever spoken to. I try to go to walk-in clinics as much as possible so I don't have to have interaction with her. The only thing I use her for now is getting requisitions for blood work. I'm not sure what the requirements are for the College of Physicians and Surgeons for continuing education credits but she really needs to update her skillset or just retire.

I've never had a positive experience. As soon as I became a patient with her I went in with a lump on my neck. She kept forgetting what we spoke about at previous appointments and was very slow on getting me sent for different tests. 7 months later I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and didn't feel I could leave in the middle of such a big health issue. She has told me I should get moles removed (even though there was no concern for them), she has inappropiately draped me for pap exams, has prescribed me larazapam for anxiety when I went in for something completely different...the list goes on! Now that I'm 5 years clear I have the freedom to leave her (which is good because she also forgot I was done monitoring and told me I had 3 more years of xrays left....)

Actually inconsiderate and tried to force me and my family to look for other doctors. How is she still practicing?

She is actually illiterate and does not understand that coconut oil is not the solution to my health problems. Her receptionist thinks she’s a model and doesn’t want to lift a finger. Someone needs to report her to the Medical Board for being so terrible.

Horrible Doctor. No knowledge at all about any medicine or diagnosis, I end up going to the hospital.
