I agree. He got my diagnosis right in 15 min as well. I have not had a doctor this smart in my life. It is sad he no longer practices in Canada. He likely would put everyone to shame and likely has with his intellect . Thank you Dr Alsuwaidan. You honestly gave me hope.

His staff is garbage. He is probably the most intelligent man I have met working in Psychiatry. He is so good with medication and so smart it’s intimidating. I really liked this man. I had terrible problems with side effects with all kinds of Antidepressants. He was the only one who suggested Ritalin. It magically helped. I can’t say enough good about his. His secretary was annoying and arrogant and he knows about it. He is likely a genius of pharmacology. Thank you Dr A

I absolutely loved working with him! He helped me find the right medication and coping strategies to deal with my symptoms. He is very professional and understanding. If you can, I would recommend seeing him.

Dr. Mo, as many of his patients used to call him, is just a wonderful human being. He was the best doctor I ever had. I was suffering from panic attacks years ago and he single handedly helped me recover. So caring and so warm always, and he would always give me hope. He gave me a medication (cipralex) and also did some CBT sessions himself and after a few months I was completely better and I have been for years. Recently I've had a lot of stress and I feel the anxiety starting to creep back and I want to treat it again before it gets back to what it used to be so I emailed him. He responded immediately as he always does, but sadly I just realized he moved back to work in Kuwait to be close to his parents and family. He was warm and kind as usual and gave me some advice and also gave me the contacts of several of his colleagues in Toronto who he trusts to give me good care. I really wish him all the best . Such a good man and such a loss for Toronto that he is gone but I'm glad he is making a difference elsewhere and I'm sure it's important to be around his family. He really didn't have to answer me with a long email, but he did I really appreciated that.

Dr. Alsuwaidan is an extremely polite, kind and smart psychiatrist. I'm so grateful that he helped my brother with his OCD and depression which had gone undiagnosed or treated for years. He is a real expert in medication. He helped my brother with a medication that worked well with very low side effects. He was patient and caring every time we saw him. I wish he hadn't moved back to Kuwait to practice, but I believe his family is there, so I hope he is happy and continuing to help people wherever he is.

I went to see Dr Alsuwaidan several years ago in Toronto. At our first and only meeting he gave me the incorrect diagnosis of Bipolar II and came up with a medication plan to address it. He was very nice, charismatic, and sold me on the idea of medication fixing things for me. I was overmedicated and lost 6 months of my life to depersonalization which I can hardly remember as I was so over-medicated on Lamotrigine. It took me years to start to feel my version of normal again after this. I highly recommend getting more than one opinion on a diagnosis such as bipolar II. In hindsight, I was having large mood changes (that were confused for mania and depression) as I was in my first emotionally abusive relationship. Had Dr Alsuwaidan taken the time to meet me on more than one occasion (during our appointment my ex partner and I were having a "good day") he would have had an opportunity to recognize the cycle of abuse that was occurring in my life. It takes years to get to know someone and I think it is very unrealistic to make a treatment plan involving medication for someone you have spoken to for an hour.

Dr Alsuwaidan was my psychiatrist years ago in Toronto, unfortunately he moved to Kuwait to work about 5 years ago. I still recall him though as one of the best doctors I had. He is genuinely warm and friendly. I recall him always being very thorough in his assessments and in each follow up appointment. He would always answer my questions based on the latest research studies and explain things to me in understandable language.

Some of the reviews here seem unfair. Dr. Alsuwaidan treated me for both ADHD and Bipolar type 2. It did take us a while to figure out I had both conditions but I never ever felt that he jumped to conclusions or was rushed. He always listened to my concerns carefully and took them seriously.

He also explained that it takes some time to find the right medication combination for each person and although it did for me, what reassured me is that Dr. A. was always systematic about the process. Nothing felt haphazard or unplanned. Eventually the combo that worked for me was Vyvanse and Seroquel.

I’m very grateful to him because to this day I’m functioning much better than I had been before I met him. I was struggling with mood swings and memory and attention problems.

I’m sure he is human and donesnt get things right 100 percent of the time. But I think The one or two reviews that said he jumped to a conclusion are not in keeping with my experience with him at all, not many others it’s seems.

I wish he was still in Toronto. He was so helpful to me and to many other s I’m sure. There are so few doctors who genuinely care, really care, about their patients. He was one of them.

I suspected that I had undiagnosed ADHD, which created a messy eating disorder and erratic behavior due to poor nutrition caused by the bulimia. My GP refused to give me ADHD meds out of fear that I would use it to lose weight so she sent me to Dr. A.
At this time, I could barely keep a full time job, worked as a bartender and slept all day to work at night.
I waited 3 months to see Dr. A who came in with a bias based on my GP's diagnosis of BP II - and proceeded to tell me after ONE meeting, and a questionnaire that I had Bi Polar II. I spent years on medication for something I didn't have, became suicidal and my eating disorder was worse than ever.

Thankfully, I met an amazing Dr. whole took 6 months of recurring visits before he made an official diagnosis. I DID have ADHD and was medicated properly. My eating disorder is now non existent, I have a full time job making 6 figures, live on my own, and feel amazing.

For this reason, Dr. A gets a ZERO - Without a doubt, I would not be alive right now if I had not seeked treatment elsewhere.
