Literally, saved my life! Others couldn't believe I was walking with the damage to my spine found by Dr. Knobler. (I think he was surprised too) I was told upfront what to expect at my first visit. I didn't expect a doctor who had spent hours with me, documenting my medical history, asked specific questions, and listened to my answers. He found a major problem, and referred me to one of the best for surgery. He's not close to where I live, but over the years he has proven to be worth the drive. Sometimes I have to wait for my appointment, but knowing how long he spent (and spends) with me, I can be patient knowing that he's helping the patient before me and wont shove me out the door because his office hours are over or it's lunch time. He is very knowledgeable, very serious, and will be firm to make sure I understand what's needed and what I need to do myself. He has always either returned my calls himself or had his wife or staff call. I agree with the another's rating (July 2011), "do not get scared off". In the end, I'm glad he's on "my side" and is my doctor.

this doctor is excellent in his knowledge and teaching ability and listens!!He saved my life and knows how to diagnose RSD/CRPS in any stage or place. Also great for MS. Made my quality of life so much better and pain levels down majorly., but does take time- he is great at rational polypharmacy. Worth every penny he charges. Worth saving up for first appointment,saw me for two hours,others for hour an half. do not bring too many things all on the first visit. Just films or CD's and latest blood work. He diagnoses you without the bias of another doc first. He is strick on following rules and correct handling and taking of narcotics and meds,but will work with you on the meds as a team. He is a researcher,so leaves no stone unturned. But, you must show you are working! I was so sick when I got to him and he never gave up. Knows best docs for referring to other specialities as needed Smart,funny, nice bedside manner.Best ever! serious on first visit,so do not get scared off by it.
