Some one else had use her before I had an Urologist that was young didn't really know what he was doing I switched to Dr.P.Cheetham an she solved my problem in three months.I truly believed in her and stood with her until the end.She really knows what she is doing.I rate her as a 5 Star

Dr. Cheetham saved my life. She went above and beyond the standard time-clock treatment that has become all too common in my experience as a patient. Her dedication to detail is the reason why I am able to write this message. She is one of the best physicians I have ever been treated by.

I do not recommend this practice at all. My mother visited Dr. Cheetham twice for chronic UTI. I found Dr. Cheetham to be condescending and to have a poor bedside manner. She was quick to raise cancer as high on the list of differential diagnoses and offered little warmth to my mom and I, rushing us out the door after dropping pretty terrifying news. She was loathe to answer questions and became somewhat abrasive when I pushed for answers outside of her script. Moreover, it was difficult to obtain test results from the clinician and she has very old fashioned ways about accessing one’s own records. My mom ultimately did not have cancer (quickly diagnosed by another extremely competent urologist during an initial visit) and has changed practices to someone who is much more reassuring and has top qualifications at NYU.

Dr Cheetham saved my life. She took the time to listen and realized what 6 previous urologists had missed: that I needed urgent attention and help. By being thorough, taking the time to properly review my records, and asking pertinent questions she quickly saw what everyone else had missed.

She and her team went out of their way to make sure I got assessed and treated quickly. When it go to more complicated matters she calmly laid out a pathway for me to follow with another surgeon, delicately and graciously explaining a challenging diagnosis while setting me up with a course of care. I’ve found most doctors won't look beyond their own skills, and only recommend treatments they can offer. She saw the severity of my case and was forthright in suggesting another doctor. Her thorough non-judgmental assessment, and quick actions saved my life. I will forever be profoundly grateful to her and her team.

- Dr. Cheetham didn't even examine me!! We met in her office and she talked at me for a few minutes, after her staff took my blood. So dissapointing
- waited over 1.5 hours to be seen
- interviewed by a medical assistant (who was nice), but I had to answer the same questions I filled out in the pre-appointment docs, and that they had just asked me to fill out in office again

Dr. Cheetham is the best! My dad who is 87 yrs old was admitted to hospital 2x within 6 months for sepsis. Neither his primary nor his previous urologist were able to help him. Dad was always feeling unwell. Thankfully we found Dr. Cheetham (Dr. Philippa as dad calls her), and she and her team gave dad the best care that one can only imagine. Throughout the entire process - testing, examining, explaining (loved the visual drawings she did to explain the problem and surgical procedure), performing surgery, and post-OP appointments, Dr. Cheetham was attentive, caring, informative and had the best bedside manner. She has a great team who followed up whenever we had any questions or concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Cheetham. Thank you Dr. Cheetham for treating my dad. Forever grateful.

Dr. Cheetham, came to us with a recommendation from a radiation oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering cancer center. Granted, she has vast experience as a urology surgeon. And, yes is a “no nonsense, get to the bottom of this” kind of doctor. She is very meticulous and very detailed and completely transparent and informative. Dr. Cheetham, requires the same from her entire staff and they produce. All the while they all have caring and compassionate personalities. Whether or not you have a life-threatening illness, she is the person you want to see! Me and my husband highly recommend her!

I was fortunate enough to see Dr. Cheetham for a second opinion on a recommendation of a neighbor, after a prior surgery left me unable to urinate properly. My prior urologist had me self catheterizing with no plan to improve my situation, other than “continue doing what you’re doing and come back in 6 months.”
After visiting Dr. Cheetham and being thoroughly examined, she suggested a plan for a procedure that may allow for me to urinate normally again. After further testing it was determined that I was a good candidate for this procedure.
Today, after a year of treatment and retraining my bladder, I am able to urinate normally and I feel like I got my life back. This is possible only because of the knowledge, skill, professionalism and tenacity of Dr. Cheetham and her entire staff.

Dr. Cheettham is excellent, as is her staff. I saw her about having trouble peeing, and because it had been a really long time since I saw a urologist. She treated me, and the part that elevated this review to excellent, is that she not only took a few minutes (she is busy) to explain how everything was connected, but she drew it. She also let me know what could be going wrong and why she was prescribing the treatment.

I then went for my follow up 2 weeks later, and she stuck a camera up my penis to have a real look around. She talked me through it, she was talented in both getting me calm and guiding the device gently. Again excellent...in a tense situation, she put me at ease. I highly recommend.
