Unprofessional staff, referral to out of network specialist, English is not that, great amongst some staff, m, not aways return calls, reported the case manager to case manager which I didn’t know she was her. Was ignored by staff- felt it was because I’m not Hispanic(all staff is of that, race of people and that is sad because she has various race of clients). She’s failing miserably.

Worst doctors office we have ever been in. The staff is rude, inefficient, irresponsible, dishonest, unprofessional, and uncaring. The doctor seems like a nice person but in 1 years time we only saw her for about 10 minutes. We had to wait 3 hours to get that 10 minute visit. The doctor's office insists that patients cannot call in for their refills; If you want a refill your pharmacy has to call for it. But when your pharmacy calls asking for a refill they are told that they won't authorise refills unless a patient calls in and asks for it. So you're left in a total conundrum. They required has to go in once a month to get prescription refills. The only problem is they would forget to call them in. Then it was impossible to get anybody on the phone to get it straightened out. Month after month we had to struggle to get the medication necessary for the patient. This was medication that the patient required in order to remain stroke free and, literally, alive. Time and again we had to turn to our primary care physician to call in prescriptions that the neurologist's office was either neglecting or in some places flat out refusing to call in. The office staff lies and will say that the reason that they won't authorise a prescription is because the patient has not followed their rules about coming in to monthly appointments. In our case this was easily proven to be a blatant lie because our insurance company records show that the visits were timely and regular. There are reviews of this practise all over the internet and over and over again people state the same things. They couldn't get anybody to phone them back when they were feeling ill. They couldn't get their prescription refills. Nobody paid attention to their concerns during appointments. The medical staff stands around speaking in a different language completely ignoring the patients who are waiting at the service window to ask questions or sign in. Often there is loud music and you can see that they are passing around snacks and food. While people are crammed in to the waiting room. The waiting room is a joke in itself. The front door literally opens up right onto patients sitting in cheap plastic chairs smack dab in front of the door. The office constantly overbooks so forget about social distancing. The waiting room always felt like a dangerous place where one could catch covid. The physicians assistant that patients are normally fobbed off on don't remember patients from one month to another, probably because they're constantly overbooked and seeing too many people. In our case tests were ordered which made absolutely no sense. A test was ordered for diabetes even though the patient has had Type1 diabetes for many years. Tests were ordered for gastro issues when there had been no complaint about gastro issues, no symptoms of gastro issues, no reason whatsoever for these tests to be ordered. This is a neurologist office, not a gastro. We wouldn't recommend this office to our worst enemy. We are greatly saddened That this office continues to operate. We saw lots of elderly patients there. They deserve better. Oh, and the parking is a joke. The building used to be a house and they've created parking spaces out of what used to be the front lawn. It has very little room and it is impossible to manoeuvre around. Every visit with a nightmare.

Dr Alicia Cabrera is really one of the best doctor I have met in Orlando. All the time I spent in her practice she was very concern about my health and She found the correct solution to my situation. I will recommend her if you are looking for a well qualified neurologist.

Always waiting an hour or more after your scheduled appointment time. That’s very hard for my mother to ride her for an hour and sit for another or more without anyone calling to say there not running on time. This seems to be the norm when I bring her. Very poor when you schedule three months in advance and we are on time

While I found Dr. Cabrera to be dedicated, her staff leaves much to be desired as well as the Dr.'s punctuality. I had a stroke and went to see her and 2 months later we are still on the same boat. EVERY time I went for my appointment I waited over 30 mins to be seen. They charge your deductable you right away , but when their tardiness affected another appointment and we requested a refund we were told no because we were leaving almost 45 mins after our appointment. I made the mistake of taking my son to them and the same situation occurred for him. His medication had to be changed and it never happened, dispite calling the office to request it be done. TERRIBLE service. Dr. Cabrera needs to understand that the patient's time is just as valuable as her time. Respect has to be given to be received. They are quick to take your money but terrible at providing follow up for their patients. Her staff work like they get paid by the hour and have no sense of urgency because they are already at work. I had to leave the deductible for the Doctor and her staff, since they seem to only understand $$. My recommendation....... go to another Doctor, people go for results not to make friends. I left there shaking like a leaf and with a horrible headache because the Dr. didn't like what I said. 3 of her patients gave me a thumbs up when I said it's not fair to be waiting that long after a scheduled appointment.

Great doctor, awesome staff. I seen several neurologist over the years but she is the kindest one by far. She listened to my concerns and hit the nail on the head with the medication she prescribed.

An appointment with Dr. Cabrera is like playing a game of telephone: first you tell everything to the nurse. Then, a PA comes in the room and you have to repeat everything all over again. Then the PA has to keep going back and forth to Dr. Cabrera anytime you have a question. Supposed the notes the nurse and PA take go straight to Dr. Cabrera, but when she finally entered the room for 5 minutes, she was completely unaware of at least half of what I'd said during the appointment with the nurse and PA and I had to repeat everything again. These most exhausting and frustrating appointments and I have come to seriously dread going there. The worst part is that even though there aren't any good medications available for my condition, she is adamant that I HAVE TO be on something, even if it doesn't address my current symptoms and also has horrendous side effects. She is unsupportive of patient decisions - it's her way or the highway. I am currently looking for another neurologist who will not try to force me to take meds that don't make sense for me.

TERRIBLE! I have delt with many doctor's offices over the past several years and Dr. Cabrera's is the worst. She repeatedly asks questions and makes notes with alternate answers creating confusion for the patient and an inability for the patient to follow what they understood the instructions to be. Her office notes indicate a lack of symptoms that were never asked about but are present and would have been stated had they been brought up during the office visit. Notes contain incorrect information making continuity of care with other providers extremely difficult. Continues to make conclusions inconsistent with patient discussion and then act like you were wrong or provided wrong information at followup visits.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING
I became a patient 4 months ago seeking an explanation for pain in both my upper extremities. My first visit I waited 3 hours to be seen. Dr. Cabrera came in and spent about 15 minutes with me explaining what we would be doing for testing. My second visit I spent two and a half hours before being seen by the Tech that did my studies. She was very nice and very efficient in her nerve conduction testing. I then waited another hour for Dr Cabrera to come in to do a second part of the testing and put me on a new medication. After four days on the medications I knew it was too strong for me. I could not hold my head up or go to work on them. I called again and again and again. I left more than 9 messages for Triage and front desk and finally the office manager. They finally scheduled another appointment for me after I called the office manager three times to complain. I waited two hours and instead of seeing the Doctor I was passed on to the Physician’s Assistant that had no idea why I was there. No notes were put in the electronic record of my calls or issues. My labs were in but she could not tell what the findings were or what my diagnoses or results of the testing’s were. She had to keep leaving the room to ask questions. Already upset, we got nowhere. She said to take a new medication and hopefully it would help, but we don’t really know what’s causing the issues. A compartmentalization was found in one arm but did not equal pain in bilateral arms. So I took the medications and then they increased them weekly. By the time I hit my second month on them I was terribly sick with headaches, high Blood Pressure, extreme loss of vision and several other problems. I called on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and I kept getting sicker. No one ever returned my calls. Not triage, not front desk, not the Doctor. Thursday I was sent to the ER with stroke symptoms and admitted. I have been out of the Hospital now two days and no one has ever called even with an urgent request. I told the Doctors at the hospital what had happened, their comment was “ I’m not surprised” . If you want consistent care, monitored care and a Doctor that will follow you I sadly would not recommend this office. I could have died and they still would not know it.

Just horrible people... I don't care if she can part oceans they are just bad people. I saw a elderly couple trying to get a disabled lady out of her wheelchair and into her car. She and her staff just watched and did nothing while the elderly couple struggled unsuccessfully in 95 degree heat. It was so bad that the people in the office next door eventually came out and helped the couple while the medical staff who were responsible for the care of the elderly patients just watched. There is a special place in hades for those who abuse the elderly like that.
