Dr Khanna is more knowledgeable than any doctor I have ever had the privilege of going to. She has a deep understanding of all psychological issues that can present in children. She has the most complete knowledge of medications and has given sound recommendations to us for years. Her expertise and experience is priceless. I would pay double her rates if necessary. I would not trust my child’s life and well being in anyone else’s hands.

Dr Khanna was one of the coldest, most judgmental people I’ve ever met. Shocking to know that someone who came across like that was licensed to deal with adolescents. I wish I had read deeper into reviews before I started down the list of doctors to call. ANYONE on that list would be recommended by my family over Dr Khanna. I felt the nerves of my child kick in any time we pulled into the parking lot, she had the exact opposite affect on the anxiety we were seeking help for. Look elsewhere. Anywhere!

Worst experience ever with a doctor! Walked in to be told by receptionist that doctor was running late because she is in line at Starbucks. Then she charged me $260 for 25 minute appointment. When doctor arrived she stated that a 50 minute appointment was needed, yet her assistant had scheduled a 25 minute appointment with me. I said no & explained that I did not appreciate the Starbucks delay or being overcharged. The doctor told me she would not tolerate MY attitude. When I called my husband to get his advice, the doctor left my son alone in office and came out to argue with me again. We left after refund. On my way out, I pointed out the sign on her reception desk insisting that patients arrive on time for their appointments. I would never treat a client the way we were treated, and if I did, I would certainly apologize.

She is unkind. Uncaring. A disgrace to the profession. Further, she seems to me someone who is narcissistic and in need of mental help. Her reputation speaks for itself. I agree with the comments and would never trust this doctor. I took my son once and that was enough. Awful.

Her assistant is rude! We called because we needed Dr. Khanna's help in between appointments but she was not willing to help or talk on the phone. Her assistant told us they had an appointment in 3 weeks but we needed to figure out what to do on our own. Needless to say I would not refer her to anyone!!!!

I have struggled with depression, anxiety, and OCD throughout my life and have been to several doctors. I have moved several times and have had to find new doctors upon arrival. I have had very good experiences with my doctors and am grateful for their help and knowledge. Now for my experience with Dr. Khanna. Dr. Poonam Khanna has a comfortable office, a very sweet secretary and is always dressed to the nines. What was difficult to swallow was her adamancy to see me once every 4 weeks, and her decision to taper and/or change medications at an extremely slow rate, (I have since had doctors tell me it's strange how slow she was making changes and how many doctors visits she felt necessary all in the name of "safety"). Most doctors I have seen have understood how expensive these appointments can get and have shown me the care and flexibility needed in order to continue treatment. At a point in my treatment with her I remember calling and communicating with Dr. Khanna's secretary about my financial situation, (and my financial inability to see her every 4-6 weeks). I explained to her how other doctors I had seen had helped me navigate the costs and sessions in a manner that I would enable me to be able to continue to receive treatment. A couple of days later I received a phone call from the secretary. She said she had spoken with Dr. Khanna and she told her to tell me “If you're so happy with other doctors, you should go see them." In my experience, it has always been clear when a doctor cares for a patient, and when they work for money. Unfortunately, in this case, the latter was apparent.
