This guy is an absolute hack. I beg anyone with a spine or brain injury to stay away from him. He is arrogant without reason and just a horrible human being. There is a reason why all his grades, look at the other sites, are so bad. He thinks he is god and really doesn’t care about his patients. Don’t let him fool You. I have never ,et one of his patients that not get worse after he touched the,. And there are many. I say this to help you. Look at his grades. 3.6 is the best. You can ask for a better surgeon and KU has to give you that

Dr Arnold is the absolute WORST doctor I have ever had the misfortune to be treated by! He performed major surgery on my back after which I became totally disabled and unable to work or perform every day functions. The pain I have been living with over the last 9 years has been unbearable and the total focus of my every day life. For all intents and purposes, my life is over. The best advice I can give anyone even considering going to see him is don’t - STAY AWAY!!

Had fusion of C5-C7 in Nov 2015. When I went to follow up appt, I waited over 2 hours and then had to leave. I have increasing pain in my back and shoulder extending from where the surgery was performed. Other drs won't see me because Arnold performed the surgery. Now waiting for appt but now I know I will be there for hours before I get seen!

This is the rudest doctor I've ever seen in my life. He hadn't even reviewed my records when I arrived for my appointment, yet he was adamant that I needed surgery simply because I had been referred to him. He was clueless as to what I had been referred to him for and had to go out and come back to even know why I was there. DO NOT TRUST THIS DOCTOR!

Just don't do it! I had an L5-S1 fusion. He misplaced the right bolt and even before I got out of the hospital, I had to have another surgery to move it. His bedside manor is non existent and just as bad in the office. Don't think that he is a good technician. Go elsewhere! Anywhere.

If this is the Paul Arnold operating at KU med center in 1998 the following is true:
Performed ad L4 to S1 fusion using "cage" hardware and the fusion failed. He continued to lie to me about the results and I spent over 1 1/2 years in a pain clinic. I am still on pain medication 15 years later. He was terrible to deal with, had no interest in me as a patient and continually lied about my condition. DO NOT GO NEAR THIS MAN!
