He admits he cannot see 20/20. He had eye injury many years ago and despite surgery it is not correctable even with glasses. This is why he lost his pilots license (which he also admits). Who in their right mind want a 70 something doctor working on them whose eyesight is so bad he is not allowed to fly a plane?!?!?!?!

On top of all that he admits to self medicating himself in the office but is a hypocrite because he ridicules prescribing medicine for patients. Even if you get him to prescribe something he will only do it for about half of what any other doctor would typically prescribe.

He is also incredibly arrogant and will brag about being over 70 years old and having a teenage child. Why does he need to tell patients that and what does it have to do with my medical condition?!?!?!

He will also push you to get surgery. Does he need money? What really gave me a red flag to get far away from him and fortunately find an excellent doctor elsewhere, was that he was advising surgery for me and had not even looked at my xrays. What kind of a doctor does that?!?!?!

I found 2 other specialists who properly advised a non-surgical path for treatment that worked out great. and the 1st doctor suggested I get a 2nd opinion. Dr Rowland never mentioned doing that and never even suggested anything other than surgery. It is very concerning that he is allowed to practice surgery at his age, with his poor eyesight, and given his methods of going about it. Downright scary.

he is over 70 years old and likes to brag about having a 15 year old son - what does that have to do with my ailment? he has forgot that he is a medical doctor and tries more to be a philosophy doctor. He does not believe in prescribing medicine. "Oh, you just had surgery? well take an advil. oh, you did, well take 2 then" He also will PUSH hard to get you into surgery even without looking at your xrays or MRI. My guess is he needs the money. He doesnt have a lot of repeat business or patients.
